I have a spare Motorola 2210-02-1002 (Southwest SBC region modem)
Does anyone know if these can be used in the Bellsouth regions? Where the 2210-02-1006 are shipped?
Not sure if this is the best place to look, but what the hey
I am looking to get my sister just a desktop computer that can surf the web and run windows 7 reasonably well.
Prefer sub < 300, but if its a decent system I could go over that slightly.

Currently I am looking at the Energy 5.1 Take Classic Home system ($400) and pairing it with a Onkyo TX-SR606 Reciever ($400). This seems like a great system.
My question is my original budget was around the $1500 dollar mark, and was wondering if it was worth it to reach a little further...
I have a user that is currently running on a fresh install of Office 2k7, and has a few basic rules setup to move specific e-mail to certain folders. Such as if an e-mail from sales gets sent to the sales folder, and support to the support folder, while skipping the inbox. However it appears...
Switched business to NOD32 and was thinking of switching my home computers.
I was thinking there was a member here that was a reseller as well.
Where does everyone else get their NOD32 licenses for home.
Currently I am managing a 20-uer group on Symantec AV version 10. We have rolled out Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 onto a test system, and I can say I am more than dissapointed. It is a resource hog plain and simple, and it has got to the point, where I would like to turn elsewhere...
I currently have a 6800 Ultra, and will be making the move to PCI-E, I currently do not game all that much anymore. I do some Half Life 2 etc, but I do less and less. I would still like to be able to play the newer games, but perfomance is not the most important factor
I will probablly...
I am now on my second IC7 NB fan, and its starting to whine as well. Anyone know of a good alternative to the supplied by Abit. Currently, a replacement NB fan will cost me 8 dollars from Abit, which is sort of ridiculous, when they were giving them away for free before.
I recently had a hard drive die in my file server, which only has interface for SCSI or IDE. What I would like to do is buy a SATA HD and put it into that system, until it is upgraded, which will probablly be the end of the year.
I know that PATA version of the 7200.10s are available...
No rebates, OEM though (3 year warranty)... Not a bad deal for a big SATA drive..

An older style of the Cooler Master series of cases, but IMO you would be hard pressed to find an ATC style case near this price.
Good Build quality, and overall I liked these cases

Enjoy, but only preselling bundles, is definetly a move to make money. Either way those prices make my wallet sad :(
What happens if its within the 10 days of it being launched
I searched for them, but could not find a specific thread concerning the matter of installing an Audigy 1 without the installation cd on XP.
The creative drivers on their website require that you have the original CD drivers before you can upgrade, which is crap.
Help anyone?
I am looking for a software mp3 player that had the same setup as winamp 3, which had the playlist loaded on the left, and a list of playlists on the right you could scroll through easily.
Any suggestions would be helpful. I am sure someone will say Foobar, but I do not know how to get it...

After installing the newest Nvidia drivers from the website, it seems to break DivX playback on my machine. It still plays the video back, but the colors are FUBARed.
I rolled back to the BF2 drivers and it has temporarily fixed the problem, anyone else having this issue?
Yeah long time Intel users trying decide if I want to take the AMD plunge to A64 to replace the old 2.8C Northy.
I know the ratings and everything are suppose to say how fast each one is, but the X2s and the different cores bring in a gray area.
Can someone explain the differences or point...
I noticed there has not been many slot loaded drives for computers, and the main one people wanted were the Toshbia drives.
I did notice however that Plextor is making a slot loaded DVD-burner, while I have always liked the idea of not having to use a tray, is it practical?
Does a slot...
Is there a way to do this? Besides Rainconnect from Rainifinty which costs more than ISA Server itself?
Basically what I am trying to do is use a Cable Modem for general web traffic, and non-critical web stuff. While our T1 takes care of critical stuff, such as e-mail, etc...

Not a bad price, could find one used cheaper here on the For Sale forums, but I know a lot of people do not like to risk it.

Crap EA is going to buy up all the sports, and I will be playing the same every year with just an updated roster, instead of actually changing the game.
Ah Well ESPN's line of games at least gave them a run for their...
As I am waiting on my Dell 9300, which is a large bastard, I am going to need to get me a fairly nice carrying case, to move it from home, school, and work. Most of them seem generic. So I figured I would ask what you guys use, and what you suggest. :)
Lets try to keep it under 200...
I think its time I finally got myself a decent laptop....
I am really looking to get a P-M probablly a Sonoma with the 533 fsb, and get one of the laptops with the x16 PCI-E capabilites.
I really want something under 10lbs, decent battery life, like 3-4 hours, and games decently.
I saw...
For a while now I have been trying to come up with the best way to set up a scheduled reboot time for the 30 or so computers on the domain.
What I was thinking was possibly trying to make a script that basically determines if there is a user logged in or not, which there shouldn't be since...

Hmm, who knows when the "mainstream" x800XL will hit the market for people who are "mainstream" AKA AGP. Sadly enough I was thinking about getting one of these. Ati hopefully can get these out in March...

I know its Toms, but I read everywhere.
Seems like a worthy idea, just too big and bulky. Plus its way over the top, I for one would probablly never put that in a system. Perhaps the Geforce FX of air cooling?
When I try to install windows it gest through the initial loading of devices, but it does not detect a hard disk.
In the boot up sequence the SiS controller recognizes the hard disk.
I know the hard disk works because I have installed windows 98 on it just fine. I think I need the drivers...
Well, I have finally beaten KOTOR 2 and as promised my review of the game on the XBOX console, for the light side, on difficulty level of normal.

I was looking around the net for a standard template for word for users to sumbit computers problems, but oddly enough I could not really find any. I am guessing with today's changes to a "helpdesk" and web-based enviroment they are sort of behind in the times. Unfortunately my boss is wanting...

Check out the link and notice when you change the 5700 to a x800 XT there is no price change.
So basically if you knock everything including an OS you can get a complete system and a x800 XT for around 600 bucks easy.
Granted...
This might be an easy one for most of you, but I am not that familiar with Active Directory. But I have a pretty big home network and I would like for them to be rebooted each night say around like 1 am, and all are running Wink2k and XP
I am sure there is some sort of script or group policy...
I am currently using the Rev2 of the Abit IC7's coolling solution the little orb with the fan. Soon though the IC7 and Proc are going to be given away and the o/cing will be put back down, but then one day I start to here some whinning coming from my computer, at first I though it was a case...
