I had a laptop go south and want to retrieve some files off the old hard drive. I'm looking for a cheap docking station or enclosure so that I can put the old drive into it and recover the data. Anyone have any suggestions as to a cheap drive enclosure or adapter for this purpose? I think this...
Do you know which pentium mobiles will interface with theCeleron socket? Also, the BIOS: won't it be necesary to somehow hack the BIOS or will it just recognize the pemtium and go along it's merry way?
Related question: Is there a faster Celeron M or any other faster processor that is a plug and play solution. Doesn't the BIOS have to be modified to accept a different processor? And a big second on Vista and 520 RAM being sloow. I recently bought a Toshiba Satellite on sale at BB for $390. I...
Antec Sonata has good cooling (2-120mm) with the front fan directly positioned on the drive cage. If you get the additional Smartfan you'll have zero noise. It's kind of an off color black I would say.
Yes, electronics problems are not brand dependent. I figured out the situation with the system here. Since the system was installed in a house that was hit by lightning , there was a lot of "wild cards" to diagnosing the problems. I thought at first the PSU was not adequate because of the abrupt...
Thanks for the post. Yes, Asus has ATI cards manufactured before a certain date as incompatible. The 9500 pro was running on this board for two years with no problems. Is this section of the motherboard Forum kinda dead? Not many views on any threads here.
I searched but couldn't find any threads regarding bad mobos of this model. My story: two years ago I built a system for a friend using this mobo, P4 2.4C, Corsair XMS 2x 256, WD HD, Antec Sonata, Pioneer DVD & DVDRW, ATI 9500pro. The board failed. Had no power to the vid card and no power to...
I'm having same probs and have tried the same swaps. No video display whatsoever. I'm thinking it's a board related thing. Board I'm using - AsusP400e dlx. Anyone with a resolution process feel free to post.
Well this is pretty timely. I am experiencing similar symptoms but I know it's not due to BIOS flashing. No video display. I have tried clearing the BIOS CMOS, swapped video cards, and tried the supplied CD. Still working on it but I feel this is a board issue probably.
Sorry , DUMBASS here. I thought thr URL was unlinkable due to the address, itself. Yeah, if it looks to good to be true it usually is. I was just wondering if anyone had tried this. The offer completion part is fairly easy if you have the five "friends" or addresses as stated.
Lock this thread...
Anyone ever tried this. You have to refer five email addresses and a total of six offer completions. One of the offer completions is signing up for an ebay account and listing an item. Lookee here: http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!/Welcome.aspx BTW under their terms and conditions they can ship you a...
This car HU in a comp has been tried before. Can't find the thread in the car forum anymore. Bottom line is that is counter productive because of price, power, and speaker configuration. IMO it would be easier to get a good sound card and a highend speaker set. Don't let my opinion stop you, though.
Tried my usual dumpster route the other day and nearly left a trail out of my pant legs. Walked up to the 10 yard box behind the CUSA and out pops this dude throwing out a box! Nearly lost it.lol. Asked dude if he found anything good and he tells me "I'm just taking the boxes." right. I should...
Back down to $249. Comes with the Celeron so an upgrade to the 2.4 pentium would be my fist choice. The other bits and pieces to upgrade I'd buy aftermarket (memory,OS,vidcard, add. HD). Available at Dell Small Business. BTW priced based on $100 mail in rebate.
The codegen is a litlle more money but ATX. This is double the price of the Compaq but a lot less hassle....http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=11-116-125&catalog=7&depa=0
Bought an A70 at xmas at Bestbuy. Paid $299-$20 next purchase (that works for me). You'll need a charger and Nimh batteries. Bought a 128mb CF card=$30appx.
The picture quality is good. I bought an i960 Canon printer to turn out the 4x6 glossies(-$50 bundle rebate)and the quality of the...
Liquid,
Would you trust these fools to sell you anything that would be good? I think you will be unhappy in the long run with any monitor you get from them. Cancel the order and have them pickup what they sent you. My 2 cents.
These are Syntax brand. Free after $14 MIR. I've been using mine for a couple of weeks with CF cards and it seems to be a pretty well built unit.
