Sorry for your loss.
If it means anything, i've subscribed to this thread since your first post and every time i see an update, it makes my day.

I've been working with my distributor for SuperMicro and ive been given an updated bios with a build date of 10/05 (so only in the last week) and thus far my PCIE issues seem to be fixed. if anyone else is having this issue, PM me and i can email you the updated bios but dont hold me liable if...
Yep, i've got a X9SAE-V and am experiencing the same issues as you with my 3x HVR-2200.
They worked a charm on my X8STE but on my new mobo, they do absolutely nothing!
any updates on this?
i just got a X9SAE-V and am encountering some issues with it, mainly that it doesnt detect any of my Hauppauge HVR-2200 capture cards which are PCIE x1.
Does anyone have any idea? ive changed the PCIE modes in the bios to no avail and these cards are definitely working as they were pulled off...
Any ideas on this?
We would like to use the HD4000 on the i7 series or the P4000 on the Xeon v2 cpus, on a server grade motherboard. I can see desktop/workstation boards are available but any server grade?
Thanks
my work is trying to spec up a server to do some transcoding and we were wondering which server motherboard to use.
we will use a socket 1155 processor, either a xeon or a i5/i7 to make use of Quick Sync
my research thus far shows that for a server board, the chipset must be C206 based to...
so i reinstalled freenas 8 on a new sandisk cruzer slice 4gb and all seems well at the moment after i had auto imported my volumes
however ive noticed that the speeds have dropped when accessing via CIFS (which is the only one i use) from a windows 7 machine
for reference, my microserver has...

i've tried another USB stick already and still the same issue.
Which freenas8 version should i be installing?
my process is to get the iso, burn it to CD, then insert USB drive into the microserver and boot off the CD.
on installation i choose the USB drive and just let it do its thing.
Is...
i have a n36l with freenas 8 on internal usb and every time i shut down and restart the server, the bootup will hang, leaving me with the F1, F2 and F5 options but is completely unresponsive to all inputs.
to fix this i have to boot off a cd and go through the upgrade process again.
any idea...
nice setups everyone, however just curious as to what people are doing with the front dust filters on both the 120mm intakes?
I have a R2 and they get clogged up so easily and cleaning them is such a pain as i have to take out the entire assembly and unplug the fans etc. My R2 sits on my desk...
Hi, at work we use Intel S3420GPLX motherboard with the AXX4SASMOD expansion card to run extra hard drives(total of 9) and i've often encountered a weird problem where the AXX4SASMOD card won't pick up some of the drives on some of the ports.
Now, this isnt a once off incident as we've built...
i have a gigabyte 965p ds3p v3.3 and it has run fine for the past 2 or so years.

Preferably there is one which can accept an external antenna or maybe one which can be modded to accept an external antenna?

I've always had this issue, and that is that the system hangs after loading the WinXP logo at the black screen right before booting into windows.
Everything else loads fine, just that it will stay on a black screen for a minute or 2 and do nothing, then winxp will resume booting in a hurry...
BartPE looks hard to use....
i guess im looking for something simpler to use.
how is Acronis btw?
i use the Acronis Disk Director and find it quite handy to use

does this make it slower? is there a...
a benq 241w is nearly $1000 over here.
in australia, there arent many places to buy hardware, let alone a large selection of them at a reasonable price hence my decision to stick in the $400-700 range
sorry... yet another one of my threads.
basically, want to use for PC and PS3 and thus have decided upon these monitors
from what i understand, i am led to believe that the 226BW is superior to the 225MS
however, the Samsung monitors dont have height adjustments which i prefer.
as a result i...
