Cool, literally the exact same model I tried a few days ago, and mostly for the same reasons. The 3D is supposed to be that good.
Man, I hear you. I've been doing 3D Vision since before it was cool. Not quite as into consumer 3D. I personally always only kind of liked 3D at the theaters. I...
I had a 3D Vision setup for a long time. I'm not 100% sure about this, but I'm pretty sure that something like a C6 (I'm guessing that's what you're looking at) won't work with 3D vision. I think the monitor has to explicitly support the spec. If it doesn't have a nVidia 3D Vision logo on the...
I have a Maxwell Titan X under water running well at 1450 MHz. Seems like a 1080 Ti would be a step up. I'm considering replacing my 1440p, 144Hz monitor with a 4k TV. (I just have no interest in sub 40" 4k.) It's unclear to me how much of a step up that would be and if I'd hate my life moving...
Just found this while Googling:
"We do know that NVIDIA has currently focused all of their production for the GP100 GPU to HPC and data centers so the consumer variant of that chip if ever launched should be seen in 2017"

Can someone please explain why this isn't the "full" chip? People seem to be upset that nVidia is leaving something on the table. Is there a chart or something that shows what the untapped potential is?
I got my Titan X (had 2, but sold one a while back) pretty much on release. It overclocks from 1000 mhz to 1450 mhz, so I'm guessing it would still beat an OC 1080? Not saying it's a bang-for-the-buck card, but I feel like it's hung in there quite nicely
I finished the game on Ultra-Violence and then went and did a few levels on Nightmare. Big difference. Enemy attacks do much more damage to you. On Nightmare, you can survive 1 fireball from an imp and that's about it
Well, this is definitely the place for enthusiasts. It's how many people here roll. I think this thread is more about the first 2 weeks or so. Many people are waiting for non-FE AIB cards to arrive, or the Titan/Ti variants to appear.
Cool, thanks for the link, will watch. I meant running at 1450 (almost 50% over stock) would put it pretty much neck and neck with a stock 1080. Just my back of the envelope math anyway.
The part of me that likes shiny wants the 1080, but my Titan X is running nicely at 1450 and from a benchmark I saw a while back I seem to remember that being pretty much neck-and-neck with a stock 1080? Probably wait for the next Titan, or "big pascal" I guess it's called?
No idea but I just noticed the afterburner overlay. I'm running my TX at 1400 too. 85C is cutting it a bit close though, no? Mine peaked at like 80-81 and I was getting worried.
Edit: and nice 4k
SLI won't work with VR, and it's probably going to stay that way for some time. I don't have the source off hand, but it's well documented. The VR SDKs have features like asynchronous time warp that don't work well with SLI enabled. Someone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
I feel you. I had Titan X SLI, and then I think it was Rise of the Tomb Raider that made me just rip out one of the Titans and eBay it. I'm done with SLI.
SMAA is broken. Or at least, it looks awful to my eyes. FXAA looks great.
This game finally inspired me to just rip out my 2nd Titan X. It'll be on eBay within a day or two. I found that SLI offered very little boost in performance. With VR not working with SLI among the myriad of other...
I'm assuming your 908 is indeed a 980.
From what I understand, SLI is not suited for VR and will not be for some time at least. The recommended GPU is a 970, which is a step down from your 980, so you are already in good shape.
My main flies max skilled Vargur and Golem. On paper, the Golem seems better, however, in practice, I found that the Vargur excelled by a wide margin. The main problem is the 8s weapon cycle time vs 3s weapon cycle time. For any frigates or those volleys that do 95% of the job, that difference...
Really? I've yet to find anything that beats my Vargur for L4s. Selectable damage types helps a lot. Before I did Vargur, I flew a Mach. For like 2 years. I know those aren't starter ships, but they're Minnie (well, 1/2 minnie in case of mach).
Not quite. The XBONE and PS4 have 8GB of RAM. These games are usually tweaked to use every last drop of the available resources. Given that we run RAM hungry fully-featured operating systems and the consoles run bare-bones shells, it makes sense that 8GB PCs aren't up to the task.
No, I went in and disabled it in the nVidia control panel. I haven't even tried it in SLI mode. I put maybe an hour or two into it before the re-release, and it was a known issue that SLI would dramatically decrease performance, and I heard that the issue persisted, so I didn't even bother...
Not really. It's more like CCP never anticipated that the game would run 12 years and they literally don't know what to do with it now. Essentially, they don't want to sleep in the bed they've made.
EVE's whole premise is that what you build over time has value. Well, right now there's a...
Don't play this. It is cancer. It will destroy you.
Source: 2003 bittervet. Used to have 16 active accounts until CCP banned input broadcasting via ISBoxer.
Huh, sorry to hear everyone's having problems. Got my copy from GMG months ago for like $36. Runs like a dream on my system (granted, it's pretty beefy, one TX is disabled)
The graphics, gameplay, and overall attention to detail in this game are unreal. Really enjoying my time with it.
I like that I level up on the main quests. I'm nearing end of my 1st playthrough and it's making it so that I don't have to grind the living fuck out of the game to do the story.
2nd playthrough will be more completionist.
I remember seeing a comment from CDPR that they felt bad about the visual cutback and they were considering reintroducing some of these visual options for PC users. Did I imagine that, or is that still in the works? Anyone know?
