Anyone currently CPU or GPU mining some oddball shit coins that have promise? Something like Ravencoin where mining pools/difficulty isn't/wasn't overrun and the coin actually has a potential future?
Obviously nobody knows for certain, just curious what all oddball coins everyone(or anyone) is...
I forgot that I am also holding 42k Safex. Safex currently is not on any exchange, but they did just release their bluepaper. Looks like it could get interesting this year.
I bought 1.4mil Tittie coin for shills back in Oct for 1 sat, sold for 2 sat, it peaked at 34 sat a few days ago. I had to have a laugh at that!
Currently I am holding Substratum and Cardano for long term
I talked to my CDW rep at work and they are supposed to be getting some 1070/80s in stock in the next couple of weeks. I am going to try to snag a few, prices aren't terrible.
Summer here says it is $.11/kwh, but after all the local fees and regional transmission fees, it ends up being higher. Winter ranges from $.06-.09/kwh, but after the above fees, it ended up being $.12/kwh for last month's bill.
If I had a few rigs, I'd point at least one at BTG, couldn't hurt, not sure what the difficulty will be in the beginning.
What coins are you currently mining?
What is everyone currently mining? I am slowly mining ETH with my main rig for some long term hodls, but have been thinking about building a dedicated GPU mining rig again. I don't really care about short term ROI as I plan on holding the coins I earn for some time. I had 4 dedicated GPU rigs...
Yeah, don't sell your BTG until you move your original BTC to a different wallet or to an exchange.
I don't think BTG is going to take off at all, at least not until a lot more development is done with it.
They have e a couple developers, just no major developme as of recent. They did post a new roadmap on their site which looks promising.
This coin has a great community behind it that wants to see it exceed and is defending against pump and dumpers which I never thought was possible, but they...
Chaincoin ath today at 3.49 and currently at $3.25
They have a 17btc buy wall at $2 to prevent a big dump.
This is insane! So much fun to watch(both my wallet numbers and the charts lol)!
Not sure if anyone "invests" in alt coins here, but Chaincoin has gained a ton of support over the weekend. It is a fork off of DASH, so it has Masternodes and it's own wallet.
Looking at the charts from Thursday through current, you might just think it is another pump and dump, but there has...
I only have a CC on Coinbase right now, but stories like yours makes me want to stop using Coinbase. I trade on Bitfinex and also Bittrex. I typically will transfer coin from Coinbase to GDAX and then to Bitfinex or Bittrex to avoid higher fees of Coinbase.
I have a bottom of the barrel AOC 24" 1080p screen and really need an upgrade. I don't game much outside of CSGO, BF Series, and Overwatch. Kind of on the edge whether or not I should buy this or wait for another deal.
DRL just released their first qualifying races today in the Dolphins stadium. Looks like fun! Flying FPV takes a ton of skill. Your reactions and stick movements have to be very precise, especially when flying through tight spaces.
Idk, I have a lot more fun playing competitive matches than I do casual. It is a whole different game. It is more fun when playing with 2 or 3 of your friends vs randos, but competitive alone is still fun.
I got in about 5 comp matches today and went from Silver Elite to GN2, pretty happy to...
Yeah, no mic sucks. When my mic broke, I started playing casual only until I got a new one.
I really wish I had more time to play, I took a long break from CSGO and just started back up again last month. Currently I am Silver Elite Master. I have 480 hours in the game, but most of them are...
Looking to buy a somewhat recent Verizon Android phone. Not looking to spend a whole lot(sub $250 if possible). Wife broke her Droid Maxx screen and is using my old POS Droid DNA.
-HTC One
-Moto X
-Galaxy S4
-LG G2
-Whatever else that isn't terrible.
Let me know what you have.

The waterblocks are XSPC Razor 6970. They can be used on the 6950/6970 cards, outside of that I am not sure.
Here is the manual:

I have two MSI Lightning 6950s up for sale, both with XSPC waterblocks. These are reference board cards with the switched BIOS. Currently, the shaders are unlocked, but the cards have not been overclocked.
*DISCLAIMER*
I believe one of the cards is on it's way out but I have never ran them...
Played some Crawl, Gangbeasts, and Mount your friends this weekend. They are all fun games. Can't wait for the full version of gangbeasts comes out in 2 weeks.
