I didn't see any black smear during my (limited) tests, but as soon as I saw the pixel-row interference I knew it was going back. Way too high a price.

Very disappointed. The X34 S uses the same panel with the same flaws (BGR layout and pixel-row interference) as the other 43"-class 4k monitors. Moreover, it adds a new and exciting flaw where grey text on a grey background will have a super bright pixel at the bottom of the character in HDR mode.

Same problem with the F43UV I purchased.

So, got the CG473K S in today! Awesome! Dead LCD driver board. :( Going to exchange. (Woo, Amazon agreed to ship a replacement and will pick up this one.)

Your posts were invaluable in helping me figure out what I was seeing. I'm somewhat hopeful that this is a new panel, as it's a 42.5" panel instead of a 43". What did you wind up going for? I'm looking at Acer's 38" X38 S ultra-wide as a potential alternative, but it's only HDR600
