    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

That's one of the few games I have that I haven't tried...still waiting on the damn co op update.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

I used the custom color mode to tune that out personally. R 97, G 97, B 100 does the trick on my panel.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Yes, one full on SDR panel on the right, and one that 'supports' HDR but has it disabled on the left. Works fine. Content can look a little funny when moving windows from one to the other, but once it reaches the halfway point it switches over fine. Those other monitors are half the reason I...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Lol...I'm quite used to these kinds of comments at this point. It is what it is. That said, if it helps you sleep at night, I keep it fairly well lit in my office, with LED 5 bulbs I can turn on if need be, plus bias lighting behind my main monitor. Almost never sitting in the dark unless I...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Seeing some posts in here about potential burn in, so I figured I'd also chime in on my experience so far. Been using this thing since the first week of March (got it a bit before the official launch via Dell Premier). Max brightness the whole time, HDR1000, in HDR mode the whole time cause...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

I was dealing with this on Windows 10, but moving to 11 completely solved it for me, plus got me AutoHDR. Then again, I am also running HDR on the desktop, so that might be a contributing factor. Was in 10 as well though, and it was still cycling through some bullshit modes in every fullscreen...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

No, but I've heard of people saying this. Many also reported that it was nothing more than a UI bug however, and that the monitor was in fact still in HDR1000.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

You're not alone. I've been using this just like any other monitor since I got it on the 8th of March. HDR on, 65% SDR brightness in windows (pretty bright). Haven't even changed my monitor sleep setting, which is usually 5 minutes of inactivity, though to be fair that is probably low for many...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

If it's anything like mine, then they're being dramatic. The bubble wrap over the panel left some slightly annoying to remove residue on the display, some of which did indeed look like scratches. 5 minutes with a microfiber cloth and it's all good though.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Never had any lines on my unit, had it since the 8th of March now. That said, I've seen at least one other person talk about that, and a few LG OLED users have it crop up. Sometimes panel refresh helps, sometimes its RMA time. Not a clue what the underlying cause is though.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Viewing angles might not affect some of you much, if at all, but that doesn't take away from how fucking impressive the viewing angles of this tech are. Everytime I walk into my room I'm blown away by how perfect the AW looks from the side vs my two IPS panels. It's actually hilarious.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Eh, I think the amount of us buying via their premier links before the official launch, and general demand otherwise has had far more of an impact vs those tech tubers lol.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Unfortunately I can see it even at my 141fps limit. In fact, the day I got this monitor, plugged it in and loaded up FH5 to try out on it, I noticed the tearing along the bottom of the display in the map and a few other areas in game. Had to pop into the NVCP to re-enable Vsync cus it had...

  15. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Doesn't appear to be the coating, it seems that the panel itself is just fairly grey and the light just shows that off. A95K has the same behavior from the first impressions we have. That said, you need a good amount of light shining at this thing to properly turn blacks grey. Not hard to adjust...
  16. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Shining a light on it, it seems like the panel itself is more grey than anything. Coating itself seems to be shifting color to red a bit as light penetrates it.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Meanwhile I can tell the difference between no Gsync/Vsync, Gsync but half disabled due to NVCP 'Vsync' being off (subtle tearing along the bottom of the display), and full proper Gsync. Kindof a curse sometimes tbh.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

To be fair, those blind testers usually don't have years of near daily use to fall back on.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

After about 8 years of playing at 144, dropping down to 120 is noticeable for me in games like DOOM. Got very used to the input lag feel and all that at 144 though, so that no doubt plays a part.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Some have already gotten it for under $1000 due to coupon stacking (not the Premier discount stuff). Someone I know in the UK managed it.

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Oof. Also the same tired tagline in the banner he used on both alt accounts for spamming in HDTVTest's comments, what a surprise.
  22. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Those in question are clearly unhinged, so I wouldn't spend a bunch of time trying to understand why they act the way that they do.
  23. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

By standy I mean either the 'when plugged in turn off screen after X', or turning the PC off and letting it go to sleep due to no signal.
  24. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Yep. Though I probably wouldn't have noticed for months if people weren't whinging due to how close to the display I need to get to see the effects lol.
  25. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

I'm at maybe 2 feet and I have no issue with text or anything else on this panel; then again, I'm also not used to any other large displays with PPI much higher than this either.
  26. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

It's not pentile...if it was almost no one would want the thing, including me. Pentile displays share sub pixels, shitting on sub pixel detail and requiring stupid high PPI to hope to compensate. This is RGB, just not stripe. A 'proprietary' RGB arrangement that I guess you could call...triangular?

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Consider this; you're literally spamming bullshit from multiple accounts across the comments of a review you don't agree with, despite him being infinitely more respectable and knowledgeable than yourself. But everyone else is apparently insane 😆
  28. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Tends to happen when no life spammers enter the conversation lol. Though I am quite surprised they have time to reply here between their multiple YouTube accounts spamming the same crap :D
  29. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Imagine looking at macro shots of a pixel structure from some whiny German site vs evaluating a display at a realistic viewing distance, and then deciding that is enough to spam misinformation across the internet like the creators of this monitor personally insulted your mothers honor. All...
  30. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Sure thing spammer. You might wanna look up what Pentile actually is by the way, and see if you can get a life while you're at it.
  31. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

This is happening all over, and the crazy demand + lack of supply is only making it worse.
  32. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Because, as others have stated, it's not that big of a deal in real world scenarios where you don't have your face 5 inches from the display or aren't taking macro images of the pixels? Also, are you the absolute low life that is spamming the same stupid messages about the text and the same...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Same, quite curious about that. I haven't managed to make it pop up in any actual gameplay, even in The Medium at 49fps (which looked horrible at even ~80 on a CX). Maybe 175hz makes it worse? I've been running 144 since the first day personally. Would definitely like a deeper dive into this.
  34. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

Have you actually seen the thing for yourself? The subpixel structure arguement is so insanely overblown. There is a reason almost no reviewers have mentioned it up to this point, aside from a clickbait German review deriding it as an absolute dealbreaker lol. Unless you're used to 4K or 5K...
  35. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

It doesn't force you to do it after 4 or 20 hours. It simply prompts you if you haven't told it to not notify you again (which you should imo). If you do click the proceed and do not notify button, it will run a single refresh, then from there on will not notify you anymore after you hit...

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

No problem. Nice cans btw. Using HD598SR's myself. Was contemplating some 6XX's/650's but these still have a lot of life left in them.
  37. Soulshot96

    Dell Alienware AW3423DW 34″ QD-OLED 175Hz (3440 x 1440)

I've yet to hear it, though I do wear headphones (open backed Sennheisers, but still), pretty much all the time. Had the monitor about 2 weeks now. Also, the rumor is the Gsync module is there for better gamma control with VRR enabled, and this thing doesn't have raised black issues, even at...
