I would experience random software crashes. My settings would not automatically load and i would have to manually load it every time. There was a time where my profile would not save at all so I had to input settings after reboot or Adrenalin software crash. Without tweaking the GPU my 5700xt...
Storage - I have always maintained a robust storage array. I am using 2x1TB NVME in my current system used for games and current projects. I move finished projects over to my NAS to free up space as needed. My NAS now has a 512GB SSD for system 4x3TB in RAID0 and a 12TB as backup. I will upgrade...
The biggest issue with AMD GPU's is the software. Somehow this has been the case even before AMD purchased ATI. I had a cheap Assrcok 5700xt. It was so disappointing I got a Sapphire 5700xt. I ended up settling on the 2070S. My personal systems have been about 50/50 Radeon and Geforce GPUs. The...
I had an Intel 2500K, Radeon 5850, 150GB 10K Raptor to a Xeon E3-1231 v3, Nvidia GTX 950, 250GB SSD to an AMD 3900X, RTX 2070S, Gen4 1TB NVME. Prior to the 2500K I remember upgrading more often. I think average customers got tired of upgrading and companies have figured out how to satisfy the...
You will benefit from a CPU upgrade no matter what path you take. You'll get a bump from CPU and RAM. If you go Intel I'd say you'd be more than good with a 9700K ~$200USD, 9900K ~$300USD or 10600K ~$280USD. I just built an average gaming system with a 9600K and a RTX 2060S. AMD has upgrade...
Well dont let this be your main selling point. I work for a company that uses the same thing as a selling point. USA based with native English speaking. It's all roulete these days there is no higher tier support that you can speak to its all tier one. You will get the same level of support from...
Saw this review posted today. Is it easier to achieve CL17 at higher clocks on 4x8 than 2x16? Or did they bring this kit knowing 4000MHz CL17 4x8GB benefits the Zen3 architecture?
G.Skill TridentZ Royal DDR4 4000 MHz CL17 32 GB (4x 8 GB)
I steer clear of combos but mainly for upgrading. Router protocols change more than modem. If you can find a combo that will meet your needs for cheaper than buying separate, I'd go for it.
SB6121 renewed for $30 Thats an old one but it's technically more than enough for 100Mbps. Also no PUMA...
Yeah I'd say you could afford to wait. I just upgraded from a quad core Xeon to a 3900X for $380USD six months ago. The new Zen3 CPU's are attractive but not a must have unless you really want it.
Get a tinfoil hat. They have been keeping brains safe for decades. Just make some for the birds if you are worried about them. I make pet tinfoil hats on etsy if anyone is interested.
Well I double checked my GPU OC settings and it turns out the wrong profile was active. I can't believe Legion was the only one crashing at those settings. I was doing some benchmarking the other day after some memory ocing and forgot to change the profile. DOH!!
Sucks I didn't find it sooner...
I thought they finally patched that ping bug last year.
Yeah TPLink is OK. I use their ethernet over powerline adapters. I don't have a whole lot of xp with their routers but from what I have seen they work. I would buy TPLink over Belkin (if Belkin still exists).
Haha I guess we will have to wait and see. He is putting that in a different video. His working thesis is Zen 3 performs better with four sticks rather than two. There was no evidence of 2x16GB performance in this video because he said it didn't make a difference but sounds like he will post...
I would buy individually. Prices will vary these days. I did a quick search and here is what I would buy in this price range. Linksys AC2600 Router $80 ARRIS SURFboard SB6190 Modem $60 Arris modems are dependable and compatible with all cable internet providers unless they are aholes. Linksys is...
He points out towards the end of the video Wendell said 2x16GB single rank performed best of all. I think he didnt go into detail to save it for a separate video. I agree about stability at speed being the real issue.
Yeah I verified the files twice and made sure everything was up to date. The first time the crashes started right after the Nvidia driver update so I thought that may have caused an issue. I tried lowering clocks setting CPU and GPU to default and I'm using the recommended graphic settings. I...
I'm playing through Ubisoft Plus. I played for a couple days then it started crashing randomly. After a couple days of troubleshooting I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the game. This appeared to resolve the issue but after a few days it has started to crash again. Normally I would just...
I started playing Hellpoint on PC when it came out. I ended up buying a copy to play on Xbox with a friend. The Xbox version was the worst at launch. I think it took a month to fix the multiplayer. Framerate was also very sluggish on Xbox but has since been fixed. I finished my first playthrough...
