Ahh ok, so you got your adpater working, kk nice, grats, looks amazing doesn't it? now go try some youtube 4k60 hdr videos here https://www.youtube.com/user/jacobschwarz
I know it's only 60hz but they still look amazing. Try Peru, Bulgaria and Morocco.
I don't know if anyone has helped you out yet.
But i also have a C9 with a 2080ti
What arrived? i have both adapters the club3d and the cable matters.
Forget VRR on a 2080ti unless you want 60hz which no one does.
Go with either adapter and a ultra high speed cable for 4k 120hz 10/12bit
Yes but it might be a bit more stable, due to being newer. Also might not flicker as much and might not have to switch to 60hz then back to 120hz to fix colour depth.
And it could work with the newer drivers since it's not using the dp 1.4 to hdmi 600mhz clock limit bug.
It's worth a test...
I don't know how but it's worse, it doesn't even work for me with the club3d adapter, and i've tried 2 of them from amazon.
My belkin cable works ok at 4k120hz though.
Why you'd introduce an AVR into the equation is beyond me, can't you just output sound from the pc to the avr?
i use headphones anyway, so yeah i'll just stay out of it heh.
OK found the problem, rolling back nvidia driver to v446.14 fixed it.
as per this post https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/391028/encountered-netflix-hdcp-error-with-2080ti-v4516/?topicPage=2]()&commentPage=2
Woo that's great now, lol all this time i've been...
oh really wow? Did you update your adapter with the firmware that's been going around?
maybe the cac-1085 firmware update i installed broke hdcp .. or the resolution changer thing that guy on avs forum posted, although i did reinstall nvidia driver...
What video card and TV you running ?
What...
Is anyone else having trouble playing Windows 10 App netflix in 4K, with HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer from app store?
I thought the adapter was HDCP2.2 compliant?

Tried it twice, as soon as i installed the cable, the screen was going black every 10 seconds, and eventually lost signal. I may try it again at a later date, but for now just sticking with the belkin, as it worked as soon as i plugged it in, nice 4k120 rgb with hdr image came up.
This was the...
Just a heads up, i bought a club3d 2m ultra highspeed cable, and it's a piece of shit compared to the 1m belkin, i was losing signal all over the place. So make sure to get a good 1m cable.
I actually had everything up and running nicely with the belkin for the last week, and thought i would...
Starting to think nvidia control panel is the culprit, if you change rez in windows 10, seems to bring hdr back properly without being washed out.
might try uninstalling nvcpanel altogether.
Like i just said CX and 3 meter cable lol. - 2m is the maximum - 1m is preferred, Your transferring 48Gbit/s remember. that's 6000m/b per second. it's as fast/faster than a SSD. A dvd is 4700m/b - you are transferring more than a dvd per second.
Nah i just think people don't know what the hell they are doing, and what settings to use. It's specifically meant for a C9 and RTX/Navi cards. the nvidia drivers should be 450.22, and a proper cable helps.
Half the posts I've read are people trying to use 6 meter cables on a CX and wondering...
Does anyone know the cause of active adapter signal loss?
You'd think someone would've done a study on it or something. because it's been around for years.
What would happen if you deleted all the ridiculous resolutions from the edid (such as 720p) apart from windows boot resolution, and 4k120...
Yes i think you aren't taking into account that about 25% of the bandwith is reserved for other things, the transport bit rate isn't the same as the data rate.
No with the adapter on a C9 we should be able to get full 4k @ 120hz 4:4:4 with HDR. I'm hoping anyway. That's if the nvidia cpanel will allow 4:4:4 10bit, (i've heard rumours the nvidia cpanel won't allow it) we shall see soon.
I sent an email to club 3d and got this reply:
Hi can you please clarify some details regarding the CAC-1085?
If I have a 2080ti and a LG C9
Can I enable 4K@120 hz with 4:4:4 Colour and 10bit HDR?
Or is it 8bit?
Does the adapter take the DP1.4a DSC signal and uncompress it to hdmi2.1?
So...
