They needed two months to roll back to the launch FG version :dead:, well at least it's working again.

    Dragon's Dogma 2

That was not really my intention. Well, there are also many game series where you do not necessarily have to play the predecessors. So before I sink 60+ hours into an older game I would at least just google it. DD's strength is exploration and not storytelling. If you play both games relatively...

    Dragon's Dogma 2

Haven't you googled it? No, it is not relevant. DD2's has it's own story.

    Dragon's Dogma 2

The patch noticeable improved my frametimes and stuttering in Vernworth and other locations like Checkpoint Rest town. Surely it's still not perfect though, but I noticed it right away. Rarely there is a bug where performance plummets after you start the game. Feels like a performance bug when...

The new update fucked up FSR3 so bad. 120FPS looks like 60FPS, 70FPS like 35FPS. Also input lag feels worse. It always fascinates me how something this bad still makes its way to the public.

intel 13th and 14th gen xx900 and xx700 may have defective cores causing crashes in gaming

No issues with my 13700K so far, I enabled CPU Lite Load (9) in the bios though, everything else is at default. Played all the games Tomshardware mentioned. TLOU2 shader compilation ran at least 5-7 times due to driver updates and it was never an issue. My core clock in games is always at 5327Mhz.

    Overclocking my 4090 FE?

The 57" Odyssey has VRR so there should not be any jerkiness. At least if we are talking about normal FPS fluctuations and not frametime spikes/issues.

    Overclocking my 4090 FE?

445 watts in MW3? How much more is that compared to undervolting? 150-180 watts? I will never understand this. Where is the actual benefit? This game already runs at 120fps on average. Who cares about some dips with GSYNC/VRR? It won't make you a better player. Imagine turning on like 20-30 LED...

I don't like the nighttime and weather where they tried to simulate a foggy night? The image looks so soft and blurry then. I first thought this was a bug lol Edit: Or maybe it is a bug? I'm so confused. It looks weirdly bad.

New Avatar PC Game Has a Hidden 'Unobtainium' Graphics Setting Targeting Future GPUs

Specular Reflections at Unobtanium max settings is the main FPS killer by far. I'm losing 28FPS (80 to 52) going from very high to max. It seems to increase the resolution of the reflection. You can see this when you stare on the water and look for plants reflections for example. I don't see a...

I put my nose on my 77" OLED, comparing back and forth and I just can't see a big difference in overall sharpness 🤷‍♂️ For FSR3 you need to lock the FPS, otherwise it will introduce stuttering, more or less depending on the scene. I you don't mind the HUD/Map artifacts, FSR3 in combination with...

    Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

Hm, I noticed FSR FrameGen is causing weird frametime issues which can lead to stuttering, more or less depending on the scene. I only really noticed this once it was nighttime and not in the beginning of the game. I have locked my FPS to 70 now and that fixes it. I have read that in Resetera...

    Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

What is going on with your GPU frametimes? My graphs are flat in comparison: 4K, ultra preset, DLSS quality / DLSS ultra quality (scaling method: fixed!) Btw, there is a way to unlock "overdrive" aka "Unobtanium" settings...

    Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

I'm impressed with FSR3 in this game. Playing with DLDSR @ 5760*3240 + FSR quality and just got to the forest. Around 80fps there with FSR3 and it looks great. I can't see any extra smearing compared to DLSS. Only downside is the transparent mission UI/HUD which shows artifacts, but this should...

People with a 4090 need to focus on DLDSR. I played Dead Space with DLDSR + DLSS quality. DLDSR + DLSS looks always better than native resolution + TAA.

    Alan Wake 2

Runs very well so far, tested the forest and city in the beginning of the game. Playing with DLDSR @ 5120 x 2880 (DLDSR sharpness slider at 60) and DLSS performance completely maxed out + frame generation. To my surprise compared to 4K + DLSS quality I lose 20fps, although internal rending is...

    Alan Wake 2

🤣 Fair enough. By the way, two scenes say nothing at all. A GPU without mesh support could crash at any time, like it was mentioned when the warning showed up.
  32. L

    Alan Wake 2

Yeah low FPS, that's what to be expected, but it is at least playable if the frametimes are OK. I'm not familiar with mesh shaders, but I suspect that they might be used more often in the city scene than in the forest scene and that's why the frametimes on GPUs without mesh shader support go...

4090 - lots of weird pop in

Just tested 1080p too. No weird pop-in, but damn does it look bad. Especially with Ray Reconstruction. It looks so disgusting. Pure oil paint everywhere with intense ghosting.

4090 - lots of weird pop in

Yeah, that is definitely not normal. I just checked it at the same location and it looks all good. Have you checked the files? Right click on the game in GOG, installation - check/repair files.

Man, I can't wait. This looks insane. Art style and path tracing complement each other.
