Just as I was worried about, I only have a laptop, and ordered the hd for an external case. But I booted off a usb disk anyways, ran the bat file and of course it didn't find it via the usb connection. Any ideas on how I can flash my drive?

I ordered one of these drives the other day and an external case, and I only own a laptop now. I've never booted off of a usb stick to dos, easy enough if my laptop supports, but my question is will the external hd connected via usb to the laptop show up when booting from the stick?

I just got my pioneer dvr-108 and stuck it in....in nero with my ritek 8x media it would allow me to write at 12x with firmware 1.10 (what came onthe drive), i then updated to firware version 1.14 and now the same disk in nero, it only alows me to burn at 4x???

well I just noticed that the 2700+ isn't supported on the lanparty....so I guess I'll just have to set the fsb and the multiplier manually. Does anyone know off hand what those would be?

K I haven't built any computers lately and I'm wonderign if this is something people see often...I just slapped a 2700+ into a dfi lanparty board and it posted as a 2100+...do I need to update the mobo firmware or something?
