Why is it though that you left one side without padding? I think it could have been integrated behind the sidezipper as a separate piece, so you could stuff extra padding there. It depends on what you put in the bag, but having a "weak spot" seems an odd design choice. Still love the bag though...
Personally front I/O, side I/O or top is just for temporary use. Like for example to copy something to a USB stick and then unplug again. No matter the I/O orientation, there is always a risk to come against something sticking out of the I/O and break components. With side I/O facing towards me...
Generic and bland imo. Personally I think you are getting further away from the original design that people liked. Is the complete overhaul a necessity now with the issues you described or are you just spitballing different ideas?
Received the second package of the Wallye today and now have everything I ordered. I have not really done much with it, but I realized the stitching on my inner padding is coming loose everywhere. There are a bunch of loose threads and tugging on them completely unravels the stitching. Anyone...
What is the reason to make the updates backer exclusive? I do not really see the point in that. But I do not even know what Slack is, so what do I know :D
Side I/O looks much better imo. The render with top I/O is boring. No matter the exact design in the end, this will never hit a cost effective price point and that should't be the intention behind the project. Costs can't be ignored, but if you need to sacrifice to much of the vision for cost...
Some shots of the compartmens and insides would be interesting, but personally speaking I don't like the new v2's aesthetics. The new shoulder strap is nice though
I prefer high quality QDCs (these are CPC) over koolance every day. Koolance have corrosion problems and tend to lock up after some time. There are a lot of posts regarding problems with decoupling them after a year just to realize they do not close any longer and people got their PCs flooded...
The standoff feets aren't that high, so I would think bottom airflow is too limited to really get a benefit out of anything more than a small tophat; or even the small one might not be worth it.
You mentioned M.2 slots.
I am looking for a solution to hook up a 10gig network card to a motherboard via M.2 slot. Is this something you could achieve?
It is just a bit too snug, atleast on my bag. Might get better over time, though.
While I have some points to criticize, be aware I also wrote that I prefer the Wallye bag over the Deluxe.
Taxes itself were lower for the Wallye but it was handled by DHL Express who charge a fee for the tax handling. Together with the fee I payed roughly the same. Deluxe Bag was shipped standard and I dealt with customs myself -> slightly more hassle (package gets delivered to local customs office...
received my bag today. Had to pay 40€ in taxes; not suprising. As I also own the old community NCASE Deluxe Bag some short comparisons: The materials of the deluxe bag have a bit of a higher quality feel to it with its soft interior linings and other details, but the deluxe bag was more...
In germany the package got hold up by customs who challenged the worth of the package the shipping company gave for it. Had to provide my receipts and should see the package in I guess a few days together with the bill for import taxes
this bracket is interesting, but with so little information and only the single terrible picture there is no way for me to check if it would properly work for my use case.
It turns out the kit is identical except for an additional divider coming with the A4 Version. So if you buy the DAN kit, it will also fit the NCase, as there are no other differences.
sad to hear. 3 tophat sizes and all they do is cooling is pretty boring imo. Not a case for me then :( liked the design but does not support a setup that I'd be interested in.
The unofficial bag could be ordered in a slightly longer version to accomodate the external reservoir many people are using with their NCASEs. By the looks of it this wouldnt fit here, atleast not in the prototype bag, or am I wrong? Will NCases with external reservoir fit in the new bag?
I ordered mine May 2015 and it was still at 150 back then. It took only about a month until it was shipped. The quality is really good and I am happy with it, but I would not have bought one for the current price of 300.
I personally like the design direction very much. The layout is very clean and offers options to use most hardware you would like to do with mATX. For myself I would love a bit more height to have room for a radiator without such a harsh tradeoff, but I understand this is the best way for a...
The worst that can happen to you, is that the M.2 drive will throttle its speed if it gets too hot. This wont happen under normal circumstances and only if you stress your drive. This does not only apply for drives that are mounted on the backside. Without a heatsink airflow does not help that...
I personally expect ASUS to release or include an adapter for U.2 to M.2 So that you can use M.2 like this. I dont think there will be no way to use M.2 cards but we will see. Just a bit more patience and we will know :p
But Thunderbold support is a pleasent surprise. I really didnt expect to...
1) Others can answer this question better but I am doubtful this card will fit. Comparing it with pictures and measurements of the 980TI Strix CU3, I think the measurements of the Fury is only about the PCB and does not reflect the size of the cooler. The cooler has a width of more than 150mm...
