I said this when I got a 1440p monitor and a 1070..now I have a 1080Ti but I am willing to wait and probably upgrade in a year or two. My 1070 was an EVGA and it was a very nice card. I would have loved to have the FTW3 1080ti but I didn't want to wait 2 more weeks after being without a gpu for a while. Hopefully your card is fine.

EVGA is better if you have to warranty it. They will ship you out a replacement first as long as you are ok with a hold on your card. I've heard ok stories from Gigabyte and some not so good. My first Gigabyte gpu was the 1080ti Xtreme but I had to send it back because it was defective.

One guy on AnandTech was able to get his to +275 on the gpu clock. Mine would barely do +25 without crashing. I could not use OC mode at all and it would fail benches and crash my games before updating the BIOS on any mode. Dunno how long i will be stuck with Intel graphics. Hopefully newegg...

I had flickering and artifacts with the 372.54 drivers. I have not tried these, yet. I'll give them a go this weekend. I went back to the 369 drivers.

Most people that got this card put in their Newegg review that it is very barebones on the packaging. Looks like it was done that way to avoid cost going up.

Nope not using any capturing software. It would intermittently flicker it seems at every time the card boosted. Opening folders, browsing and scrolling in chrome/IE/Firefox, any action really. I reverted back to the previous drivers.

I also used DDU as well but it never changed anything. The only way I could get it to stop flickering was to change my refresh rate from 144 to 120 and then back to 144 each time the PC was rebooted.

Not sure but for my monitor it was flickering immediately after install. Any time I would scroll or do any action such as opening any app, I would get desktop artifacts/flickering lines going across.

I wonder what is causing the flickering issues on these drivers if others are not having it sometimes. I installed these twice and still had flickering desktop artifacts which is why I reverted. I also have the latest windows 10 update.

I have reverted to driver 368.81 from 372 and the flickering issues are gone now.

For 1080p I would pick up a custom 8gb Rx480 or Gx 1060. Both will come in at around $270 for a decent AIB model. You can use the rest of the money to go up to 16gb RAM.
