Anyone running those on a 500 chipset with a 5000 series CPU>? Would like to know if SAM works on all populated slots.
The 5950x is tempting with a few of these.
Haha, shintel deserves lots of this simply by fucking over you and me over long enough. Their new chips are laughable. Hello 3950X ….I wink at you sexy cache size...:D
Big Navi will have HBM2E. AMD codeveloped it to use it on their high end parts. Its not as expensive as it was. The tech has matured and it is a better solution vs 4 - 8 GDDR6 chips throwing heat all over the place.
My Strix 580's all have a 3/16 of thermal padding on their VRMs. What is the point of the 3 fan big ass heatsink if you cover the hot parts with such a thick thermal pad.
Nice try ASUS
You really need to get your hands on a Radeon VII. Freesync or Gsync make the fastest card in gaming kind of a moot point. its compute speed and memory size for the price is where its at.
Navi for the price is great as well.
The fix for navi seems to be 19.10.2 drivers. Its likely that new features and overlay is fucking things up for some. its also a good idea to reinstall all the drivers after windows updates. Install radeon drivers last.on new builds and fresh windows installs.
Yes, my anecdotal luck is more credible simply because I own these cards vs you repeating shit you read :D
Not to mention your long sad history of bashing AMD around this forum...;)
My suspicion is that those with problems in some games. Run the memory too aggressively even if it passes 12 hours of AIDA it will cause problems especially on quad channel machines.
Cycle Tme tRAS set too low will cause stutters. I can replicate it on all of my machines. Quad , dual and the old...
Anyone with a Radeon VII should really be using The Pro Enterprise Software drivers. Im on 19Q4 version and it plays all the games without any problems or "thermal runaway"
The strange thing about Navi drivers is that not everyone has issues. ;)
Haha, so first it was not enough marketing and now being political. He just needs to stay quiet. The more he opens his mouth the more he sounds like...a......
Bad timing and the game itself is not as good as he believes it is.
None of your components are at fault. I had this issue few weeks ago when I updated Win10 to 1903. Try reinstalling all the drivers and by that I mean chipset ,sound etc. DDU In safe mode and add this registry key TdrLevel 0 in...
If the op decides to run them in Freesync - Gsync the difference is of no importance. VRM design wise and compute there is no argument vega is a better choice.
I have 1080 Ti's more vega 64's than i'd like to admit and if I had to pick now v64 would be my choice. In compute tasks it outpaces the 1080Ti with less power draw, so if you like to tinker V64 is hands down your choice ;)
Something does not jibe here. I lived in Europe was born there and had access to most euro tv channels. Belgian , French, German and Dutch. Somehow I have no recollection of this being advertised anywhere. Not even Euro MTV. Where did all the marketing for this thing take place....Martians...
Im not against competition. I just don't see this going anywhere except mainland china. The trade war. Im trying not to make this political. They should be ready for the next five years and another 4 after that. I don't think they will be able to buy their way in like they did with that retard...
Is it the same company that AMD licensed its first gen zen arch to ? As far as Chine and it overtaking everyone in every way goes. I have a strange feeling the west will deal with them not in the prettiest of ways in not to distant future.
Overclocked for a few more frames and pulling in excess of 400 Watts. Amazon top sellers not only in U.S is clearly showing which side the market is leaning towards. AMD has a clear winner in 3900X or 3950x.
Competition is a good thing...:D
My local MC had the 3900X going for $449 +$30 off any mobo. Ain't no way im paying $500 for this thing for a few extra frames. Not to mention RandomX performance or productivity. :D
