Is there any way of getting those little panel brackets that the side & top panels snap in to?
I've broken a few off my V1 taking the panels off and trying to relocate non-essential ones to broken corners, but they just snap if I try to take them off.
Any alternate panel mounting methods?
I'm not sure how well the regular acceleros perform or even if the xtreme models fit, however based on my rather crude testing I decided to go full water for the ease of it, or rather of the choice. I knew I couldn't do it wrong as long as I'd get it to fit :P
I'm not saying one can't get...
I tried shimming the 120mm fan on the bottom that sits straight where the GPU is located with a 15mm fan bracket, it made only a degree or two of difference, still way over stock
I also checked and re-seated the CPU heatsink twice, it just didn't have the performance I needed...
Below the graphics card.
I had the NH-L12 on the CPU, it had NO capability of keeping my 2600k cool even at only 4.5ghz. Sold it immediately and kept the fans. The Kuhler 620 keeps it at an easy ~60c even with below 50% fan speeds, no contest there. Also I got the kuhler used for a measly...
To anyone wondering about watercooling both the CPU and the GPU...
Kuhler 620, Corsair H55, Kraken G10 and two 3.5" HDD's :)
GPU temps dropped 17c when comparing stock Twin Frozr at 100% vs Corsair's Arctic F12 PWM @ 50%
Yeah, the part on the left broke. Not sure how as the corner it broke in was the one I was looking at, putting it in first. All the rest of the holes lined up.
Mightve been due to weakening of the material (the case was ice cold when I picked it up, but it sat for a day and a half indoors so...
I'd like to warn anyone about the plastic clips on the case that hold the side panels in place, I managed to break one off of the top of my case just by putting the top panel back on.
And before you ask, no, I wasn't using excessive force or putting it on wrong, this case cost me more than my...
For a slim fan, yes. Not sure about a 25mm thick.
Sorry, english isn't my native language, I'll try to explain it better :)
The Noctua NH-L12 comes with a 120mm fan and a 92mm fan.
I took the 92mm and put it as an exhaust in the rear 92mm fan slot, and the 120mm as an intake in the...
Sadly, no. This picture explains it :)
I don't need the front ports since my mic is always connected to the back along with my amplifier, to which my headphones are connected to, and I don't even own USB3 peripherals :D
If you look at this picture, you could fit two of those 120mm...
Glad to help :)
Cramming too much into something too small is what I do best :D
Thanks!
2600k cooled by the NH-L12, P8Z77I-DX, OCZ Agility 3 120gb, 1+2TB WD Green, 2x4gb Team Vulcan 2133mhz, the SST-ST45SF-G and to top it all off the Asus Geforce GTX 680 DCII TOP graphics card :)...
For anyone not willing to give up their 1500W+ units just yet:
YES, THE CORSAIR HX1000 WILL FIT!
This message was brought to you by MY RETAILER WHO CAN'T GET MY ORDER SHIPPED, JEEZ
I think one could fit even 38mm's in there, with the fans and the fan bracket off like in this picture :)
25's are definitely doable, I measured it with an Arctic F12 :)
Hey guys!
Just wanted to pop in and say hi and to tell you I received my M1 :)
It was already stuck in customs last week but I couldn't pay taxes right away so it had to wait.
Also, for anyone wondering, the Asus Geforce GTX 680 DirectCu II TOP does fit in the M1, but under certain...
