Actually AFAIK amd is completely reworking their drivers (you can already see the effect in the W10 drivers)..i wouldn't be surprised if they release the new driver package together with the cards.
Looks like you didn't bother to read the page because if you do and not just looking at pictures, you find some interesting things like:
On an even brighter note, weve been told that AMDs reference air cooler for Fury X and Fury is actually quite beefy. And will keep the chips cool even...
My only concern is, how can it be, Linus is like the only reviewer who states the 780 is faster than the 290, and all other review site on the world get the opposite result?
Considering aftermaket coolers drop off around 30C from gpu temp on 290(x), we can safely say that the chip is not that hot, but the cooler is a pile of......
So if it comes with the 7990 cooler there wont be any problems.

Apparently someone was shipped a non X 290.
At stock its faster than a stock 780. Also will be cheaper.

I'm waiting for the 780Ti and the 290 - 290X non ref coolers to decide.
Also the cards are pretty much in performance order in the pricing as well.
780 - $399
290 - $449
290X - $549
The one card that again nvidia try to sell as exclusive is the 780Ti for 699$...i wouldn't be surprised if the...
I just switched from 8320 to 4770k, but only because i could change it for very little spending.
In normal use, no difference, and i assume i will not see any until i get my new graphics card.
I just did the swap from AMD FX to 4770K just gone into safe mode, and W7 installed the new drivers.
At first it freeze at windows boot, but i found out i need to uninstall amd overdrive (even tho it wasn't set to load on boot). This was the only thing i had to do it manually.
I'll use it this...
I managed to go down to 1.212V on 4.4ghz. That seems like a nice bargain. It can hit 90C in prime, but good temps in normal use (gaming, video converting)
Agreed, I hit around 90C in prime, but a more real world test, converting a big mkv to avi on 8 cores, and it only hit 70C. In games more like 65-70.
That is completely good.
I just found out, that the bios set my 1866 CL9 ram to 9-13-13-29 timing, and when i set the right 9-9-9-24 timing, i get BSOD on win load.
If you have BSOD try bluescreenviewer, it will tell you what caused it...
Yeah im on the same path coming from 8320, and scrathed my head looking at the bios...that said i had more luck, Running now 4,5ghz- 1,248V, Hitting 88C in prime95, but only 60ish in games.
I've got a sparking new 4770K in a Z87X-UD4H, and for first try quicky OC it runs 1,248V @4.5ghz
In games its around 60ish, in prime 95 highest temp was 88C
So far so good. I might try to lower the voltage a bit
That pretty much sums it up thanks.
I thought the same too, that i would pick up a few fps in some games, but nothing mayor.
Actually i can play every game now, nothing wrong with this setup, the only thing makes me think about changing that the board was dirt cheap, so i could change it with...
Usually you don't do dungeons for the loot (well not entirely), but to have fun with others, and for the satisfaction, when after numerous tries, you and your group can work together the way to overcome the bosses.
Nothing compares to the times when you are close to your first kills, everybody...
Yup i've seen it, he's got the normal version tho ;)
I fear if there will be a SC themed HOTAS that won't be cheap, and i don't like to pay extra for a can of paint and some stickers. If it will be like the MW3 Logitech G105 keyboard, which are a good chunk cheaper than the normal, then its ok :)
