Even then still a good feature to have because water resistant also means sealed tight, which means keeping everything else out including dust, even bugs. And then even if something did get spilled on it.
Measure the dell closed from corner to corner and see how big it is, that should give you an idea how much bigger the notebook is compared to 15.4" which relates to the LCD screen size.
One used Athlon 64 3500+ AM2 Cpu, slightly used less than a year, no heat-sink included - $35 dollars, works 100% normally, never OC'd
One Biostar P4M800 Pro IGP chipset Mini ATX board, brand new, never been out of the static bag, is LGA 775/ 1066mhz FSB, AGP 8x DDRII 533 capable with...
I played for about 6 years, I dabbled into running my own server awhile back, I always thought it was fun to provide something for people to play on, gives me a sense of accomplishment lol. I know theres quite a few of them out there.
Me and my brother have created a free UO server if anyone is interested in logging on, were still working on making changes to it and making it unique.
You have to download and install Razor and put the following info into it.
moonshard.redirectme.net Port: 2593.
That may be a possible problem, but I work in Tier 3 for a major cable provider and I have never seen windows firewall cause a problem unless something has been added into it manually, in windows XP anyway, so far no issues with windows firewall in vista either.
I always put the bottom of the laptop towards my back since its tougher than the screen just incase, unless your carrying around tons of other weight in the bag I doubt your going to do much damage.
Yep I have the 1900x1200 glossy screen on mine and love it, awesome for watching dvds while away from home and such, not too bad for playing games other than the x1400 doesn't handle any gaming at native res. But for everything else its awesome.
First card I remember purchasing myself was a 3d Prophet TNT 2 Ultra, it was the shiznit way back when, then of course I had a Geforce 2 GTS and then GTS pro 64mb, then went to an radeon 8500, radeon 8500 AIW and then to my current 7900GS.
The GF 2 card I modified with a gpu heatsink (blue...
Are you running this plugged in or running on battery? There is a setting for the graphics card in the ATi control panel that will slow the card down with running on battery despite it being set to maximum.
Make sure you let the cable modem come all the way back up before you plug in the power to the router.
Unplug both modem and linksys. Plug in modem wait 2 mins, plug in linksys. Try that and see what happens. Are you connecting to the linksys via wireless and able to see the connections and...
Guy that sits beside me has a 1720 with a core 2 duo and he has not mentioned any kind of noise problems with his. I have a 1705 and never heard the core 2 duo make any noise either.
It says its watercooled, that may be why its slightly high priced. But, none the less, I very rarely buy cards from BB unless they have some crazy clearance or something.
I feel your pain, I work in a tier 3 group for a major cable provider in north carolina and south carolina, we have a very big support area here and all the time we get idiots calling in complaining about outlook or outlook express not working and stupid stuff, sometimes I get a call that their...
Retroactive fees for some of these stations would put them out of business i'm sure if they retro'd over 12 months worth of fees, so why wouldn't they shut down now? Thier going to be afraid of being hit with a major bill when it does go into effect and they will end up paying the full price...
I worked at a restaraunt for 3 years and we used blendtech blenders, they work very well! The ones we used were about 800 bucks, commercial grade ones, never had one fail, the buckets got heavy use and the bearings would go out after awhile and need to be replaced, but they weren't too...
My firefox right now is using over 200 mb of ram right now, but i'm at work and have about 13 tabs open in one window and a another window open with 2 or 3. So I think 1gig will be fine also.
The CPU will still run at full clock speed, and I do not believe 667mhz ram is going to slow you down any at all.
You can save some money by only purchasing the laptop with 1gb of ram, selling that and then purchasing 2 1gb sticks from newegg for less than it would cost to upgrade to 2gb...
Your going to probably need a newer laptop to get that much battery life, older laptops did not have very good power management. Sounds like you may want something in the 12-14" screen size range with atleast a 6 cell battery and newer platform that has better power management features, like...
You'd be better off with 2gb, but 1gb will work fine, I ordered mine with 1gb and home premium, it did fine as far as i could tell, I have XP back on it now. If your just gonna surf the web and do some office type stuff on it, then you'll be fine with 1gb and vista.
What kind of temps are you getting that require a box fan to cool your laptop? My E1705 with it set to low performance settings for max battery the fan never even comes on. It stays pretty cool, but it is a 17" laptop and has more room for cooling.
Just some advice, I hear the SB audigy is a waste of money as its really only software. You can buy 2gb of ram off newegg for under 100 dollars instead of paying a premium to dell to upgrade to 2gb. And the screen resolution I would upgrade to the higher resolution one.
Those are just my...
Right, if you wanted to buy your own box you simply get the cable card from your cable company. I actually work for Time Warner in their Tier 3 tech support and were going be getting Samsung boxes soon.
Yes they do have about a 2gb partition reserved for system restore, but I also received a restore disc with mine, so not much point in having the restore partition. The restore disc DOES NOT install all the bloatware btw. The restore disc is simply the OS as far as I can tell. I wiped mine after...
1920x1200 on a 15.4" would be too much for sure, I have 1920x1200 on the E1705 and I had to increase my font size to read comfortably for long periods. A 15.4" would make it almost unreadable I think.
