First off, when did motherboard shopping for AMD become so complicated? I feel like I need an electrical engineering degree to determine which boards will handle an OC well. Apparently RAM matters a heck of a lot more now too.
Just need a no-frills, yet quality motherboard that can easily...
...and what exactly is going to stop someone from buying it and using it as they please? I dislike miners as much as the next guy but they're buying it for a purpose... just like how gamers buy their cards for a purpose.
It's basic supply and demand whether you agree with it or not.
I agree with the last guy, lower tier coins might not look that profitable, look at Dogecoin... I mined that when it was worthless and I sold it all when it hit 17 cents each. Made a nice little sum.
Depends what you're trying to mine... some coins are better than others to CPU mine. But you really need GPUs. It's a fun thing to do, I did some litecoin mining back when it was cheap to get into, but it's getting so that it just isn't worth it anymore. By the time you pay your electricity bill...
So, I have a Gigabyte 980 Ti G1 Gaming. Great card, runs games on 1440p beautifully. Anyway, noticing after sleep mode, I get a terrible lag that pretty much goes on until I decide to restart. Doesn't matter if playing games, or on the desktop. The lag is everywhere. I've narrowed it down to a...
Dare I say it, but modern TN panels are worlds better than what they used to be. I got a S2716DG in, today... I'm quite stunned at the accuracy for a TN panel, compared to my ACD.
Well, I've officially ordered this monitor! I mean a TN panel is a slight compromise, but I couldn't care... I'm getting a 1440p 144hz monitor with G-Sync. The question now is, do I keep, or sell my ACD... who knows. At least I know Dell generally stands behind their product in the event...
Yes, it was a terrific monitor when brand new. I completely understand that. However, it's 2016. These are becoming harder and harder to service... and quite frankly, I don't think anyone wants to lug around a 100 pound CRT when LCDs have come to the point of being nearly as good.
Don't get...
I'd say that you have a better chance of getting a 1440p 144hz/120hz IPS panel rather than a 1080p panel. 1080p IPS is relatively common, but 1080p, IPS along with 144hz is almost unheard of. People are going to pay premium for IPS with a high refresh rate, which is why 1080p isn't very common...
I'm seriously tempted. It's time to upgrade my ancient Apple Cinema Display. I just don't know if I can buy a TN panel. How's the viewing angles?
edit: apparently i forgot how to read a thread
Perhaps a better question I might should ask is... Am I downgrading going from a yellowing 23" ACD 10 year old IPS panel to a brand new TN panel? 16:10 was great while it lasted, but everything is going towards 16:9.
Here's a video of the infamous TN color shift, which doesn't look bad at...
Once upon a time, 10ish years ago, I bought an Apple Cinema Display 23". At the time, it was a great monitor. The backlight was nice and bright/white, as well as the 16:10 resolution. Unfortunately, the backlight has seen better days, and is turning yellow since it's CCFL. Anywho, I've been...
From what I understand, these monitors are highly sought after because of their lack of a scaler, combined with the fact that they're IPS/PLS. Are there any real disadvantages to going with one of these compared to a recognized big brand, like Asus/Dell? I get it that there's a high probability...
I ordered ram for my past build last month... Got a good deal on it, being it was their warehouse cleanout event. Didn't opt for better shipping than eggsaver. I will never order with eggsaver again. DHL was going all around the US before it randomly showed up at my door.
Man do I feel like the biggest idiot at the moment... Turns out my bios were very out of date, so I installed the newest beta bios, and now everything seems to work fine. Thanks for all the input.
Well, I guess... This still doesn't explain the lag on the desktop, or the keyboard lag/sticky keys in the OS. Maybe there is a chance that it is my motherboard? I'd really hate to RMA this mobo since I've already built everything on it.
UPDATE: Well, I think it's my motherboard... :( I tried...
I have a Z87X-UD4H, Das Keyboard, and a G500 mouse. I only have USB 3.0 ports, and I could not find any USB drivers on Gigabyte's website either. I've tried different ports, and nothing. I have looked over the Ease of Access settings, and nothing is out of the ordinary to my knowledge.
Well, I built my first computer... Runs games great. Anyway, the only thing that is bothering me is the mouse occasionally stutters on the desktop, and same with the keyboard at times. An example of what I define as keyboard lag is like this: "Helllllllllllllllllo". It's like a letter is being...
I'm gonna go out on a limb here, and say that 80% of monitors that people buy are DVI based. HDMI has many shortcomings in comparison. Displayport isn't common at all either.
I need help with repairing my old MacBook... I installed the new LCD inverter and inverter cable, and got the left hinge cover on... However, for the right hinge 'cover' I cannot screw it into place because the hinge itself is all the way up, causing me not to be able to screw it in.
Any ideas...
I have a old late 2006 2.0 Core 2 Duo model Macbook in my closet, and then it came to me... I haven't used this in probably over 2 years or so... It needs a new inverter I believe, and the bezel is slightly cracked... I figure I would replace those and go from there. Otherwise, does anyone have...
I'd suggest the Spigen Ultra-Optics... I have the Ultra crystal, which is just their screen protector varient with no special coating... The ultra optics is very similar, but has an anti glare/anti fingerprint coating...
