I just tried the update and I am having a problem waking from sleep. The back light turns on but nothing else does. Am I the only one? Right now the only way that I have figured out to restart is to long press the power and do a full reboot.
Other than that it runs great and I kinda like it.
The issues fall with the audio equipment that will be running on this gear. Its a LARGE distributed audio system.
Gear recommendations yes, budget... well... thats not usually an issue.

I am asking for some input. We are installing a large, completely redundant (read as two separate networks), network with 10gig backbones. We need 2 core switches that will accept gbics from 12 edge switches (48 port 10/100/1000 PoE). All will be connected by single mode fiber...

My managed to get one 2 days before release at a Walmart up in MI. He LOVES it but he has a LTE phone that will probably NEVER see that connection.
I have also thought about running to big red but I can't justify the price difference. I don't...
For $1000 your looking at one of the cheap budget kits, a couple spools of cable, and a ton of bits to drill through the cinderblock.
1k is enough for about 1 1/2 good cameras.
The company I work for swears by Rittal for the install of audio and lighting control equipment outdoors in racks. Fl climate can be kind of nasty and they controlled cabinets do really well.

I just got setting up a large stage and front of house is a long way away. All of the audio and lighting data are now running over fiber. Its not much but it keeps me busy.
I am looking for a 14" screen (higher res = better), i5, good build quality.
Contenders so far have been Lenovo Ideapad Y460, Envy or Envy beats, or Samsung QX410 from Best Buy. Quite frankly I am really willing to spend what I need to get a quality machine. I have had this beast for 4...
When I moved back to MI from Orlando Skycraft was one of the things I really missed. What a great place filled with so much useful shit. :-) I might be moving back though!!
I am not that big into VPN's... and other that what I heard on that Security Now podcast I don't know much about its security... but what about Hamachi? Is something like that out of the question?
hamachi.cc is the addy for the unfamiliar.
When I was curious about what Asterisk was all about I found that the Systm podcast video on it was a good begining overview of what it is and how it interacts with all the phone services you can have.

The only thing that I didn't try was unplugging the fan from the header. I have had the power completely off, reset the CMOS. Tried everything I know. But thank you for the idea about unplugging the fan from the header. I might try plugging a working fan into the header also. It should have...
I went to work last night and was the first to walk in. The front video editor was screaming bloody murder (alarms). Walk over to the machine and try to move the mouse... it was locked up. Shut it down, and tried to restart. No go. All fans EXCEPT NB spin. No post. I have tried stripping...
I am building my second machine in a Antec 1080AMG, and for $114..... unf.
Its huge, heavy, but looks badass. Once you get over the fact that a lot of people have this case, you will really like it.
