Getting the most out of my new system?

Specs -

Abit IC7-Max3
P4/3.0C
Saphire 9600XT
Corsair XMS DDR PC-3700 (512 Meg)
160gig Segate SATA w/ 8meg cache

Running 3dmark03 get about a 3990, running 3dmark01SE highest I could get was 13777. I am just not thinkin that this thing is performing up to snuff. This is all w/ a fresh format, and the 3.10 driver pack for the 9600xt. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this thing to perform better?

just overclock your computer to 3.6 and have ur ram OC'ed too
then your system will have a great improvement

Do you just have a single 512MB stick of PC3700? Intel machines benefit alot from having dual channel enabled and i would of gotten two sticks of Mushkin PC3500 or Corsair PC3500 instead of that PC3700 with loser timings. What chips does that PC3700 have on it anyways? Hynix? I'm guessing so because the Max3 doesn't like CH-5 much.
