Yeah would definitely be looking at AMD for this one. There was a nice deal on a 120GB Samsung SSD today on Slickdeals. Llano would be worth looking at probably, or a Pentium + whatever setup. You're gonna wanna try to save money with motherboards. I would just tally up what a Pentium G620 +...
Dunno about the 30" but my 27" is great. I got it for $300 and I got lucky with it having no dead or stuck pixels whatsoever. Having said that it was basically a crapshoot, Yamakasi & similar companies just buy the panels Apple and Dell didn't want apparently. That's where the A- comes from...
Dude it's just screwing a few things into holes and then plugging a bunch of crap in. It is definitely not difficult, especially these days. If you can follow a diagram and written directions I think you'll be safe... The only time it gets even REMOTELY difficult is when we're talking about...
Where is this rumored? I've heard Q3 '12...
And to the OP... the 7850 and 7870 are really dogs even at that pricepoint. There was a deal about 3-4 weeks ago for a 7950 at around 300 bucks... It's worth waiting if you ask me. I still remember getting my 4890 for $170... now getting such a...
Uh, no, a basic gaming computer for "high settings" is gonna cost about 1k ore more due to the current high video card prices and the PSU to go along with that.
During the Radeon HD4000 days (the few years ago you quoted), that was the time when you could get a high-end gaming computer for...
VG had like no potential at all.. the execution on everything in that game was HORRIBLE... horrible animations, models, music, everything... its straight out of EQ1. Complete piece of garbage. I still have my original copy because it's like my trophy for the top MMO failure of them all. I guess...
Gimmicks or not pretty much all the fun games I've played on the consoles were on the Wii.. mainly just talking about Marios, Zeldas, Donkey Kongs and other Nintendo IP... I also have a PS3 and I couldn't be more disinterested in basically every single PS3 game there. There are really no titles...
I don't understand how anyone can play D3 thru Inferno and not get incredibly bored. What's the end goal...? It's not like all that gear is good for anything other than farming more gear. I guess when/if PvP gets implemented the game might be somewhat interesting, until then it's basically like...
Flocking? Sporking? Come on bud, say what you really wanna say, and next time use an even bigger and redder font so we know you're really angry and fed up!!
LIKE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never had any problems with crossfire either, and I've been running my dual 4890s for quite a while now. The only pain in the ass thing about it is it wont work in windowed mode. Other than that it's been alright. AMD drivers are still really fuckin bad though.
OK... I can't really decide what I need to upgrade.
Here is my current system in all its glory:
Case: NZXT Vulcan
PSU: SeaSonic X750 Gold
RAM: 16GB Corsair DDR3-1600
HDDs: Corsair Force GT 120GB & Seagate 2TB/7200 RPM
CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.5GHz
CPU Cooler: Corsair H80
GPUs...
I would go for the 7850s if they met the value targets they should. TBH they are just overneutered for their current price. If I'm goin to spend bucks on next gen I guess I might as well spend it for something that really performs. 7950/670 minimum i think. Kepler's pretty good, how do you know...
Yeah I am pretty content so far with the level of performance from the 4890s - just because the industry right now hasn't really pushed the envelope.. consolitis etc.
But really they're pretty good value even today. Not quite 8800GT level of "golden age" stuff but almost.
I really, really...
Hey all,
I've had two 4890s in Crossfire for quite a long time now. The heat doesn't matter so much, but it's all in a mATX case so the noise CAN get a little annoying when they are maxed out.
Games have really sucked lately and the games I have played, the 4890s handle it just fine. Through...
The very first trailer looked really good, these newer gameplay videos don't look so great though. It seems way too spammy and derp, doesn't seem much room is left for tactics and an overall strategy. Looks like everyone will be zipping around the maps firing at what moves in a big chaotic frenzy.
Are you dense? Try thinking critically for a second bud. The drops are much lower than your current level because ol' Blizzy WANTS to direct you to the AH, especially in the hopes that you see something on the RMAH you just HAVE to have! The game was designed from the ground up for this. Just...
Nah, Bioware's take on Star Wars doesn't make a whole lot of sense and they've probably fallen out of favor with LucasArts as of late. I really enjoyed KOTOR when it first came out as a teen, but looking back I really wish Bioware wasn't able to do what they did with the IP.
The textures look much better than what's in Diablo 3 now.
And to the guy above me, yeah, damage is factored from your primary stat (either dexterity, strength, or intelligence) and weapon damage. So I wouldn't even say "stats." It's just one stat you look out for mostly, you want that and...
You're half right, we played it for PKing and MFing. The whole point to excelling at PvE was to excel at PvP. When you remove the PvP part from the equation you remove pretty much the entire long-term motivation to actually play the game. No one actually wanted to MF that's why there were tons...
Yeah the similarities are a little too staggering to be chalked up to coincidence. I'm not necessarily a fan of BF3's graphical style, but hopefully PS2 doesn't fuck it up like Dice did.
This is their second attempt at this within a month or two right? Looks pretty bad, LOL. Especially in a market in which the consumers will pay for an existing product as if it were new over and over again (COD).
Well the randoms I did have didn't really ruin the experience any unless they skipped thru quest dialogue or something, that was annoying and they were asked to stop and usually did. If not, there was vote kick. I like co-op games too, that's kind of why I was looking forward to this, but the...
Played with my bro and friends as well as a few randoms that managed to stay in the game long enough and were sociable enough. The only thing that really drove the game outside of the story was acquiring & trading loot with eachother. Atleast with my WD, once you found the optimal AOE dmg skills...
