I just picked up an Nvidia shield, and it works well. Ended up getting it for $100.00 I did have some issues with lag on multiplayer games, but single player games work great.
As far as the controls con, a LOT of games have built in controller support. Any games that I had felt would be...
isn't it advised to NOT use prime95 with haswell-e? I swear when I was looking up overclocking my 5930k I saw warning after warning about it. That being said I have a 5930k with h110, and hit a max of 73 at 4500mhz at 1.3 vcore. (this is using RoG real bench)
Cat 5E is good for right around 300ft.
What are your requirements for your switch? Cheap? Reliable? Managed? Unmanaged? 8 port? 24 port?
HP Procurve switches have a lifetime warranty. While they can be expensive, they're really easy to work with as far as replacement switches go.
We have a...
It has some decent QoS and traffic monitoring features. I think it can also do content filtering. (I'm not at home and cant quite remember.) You can set up a Radius server. (there's no reason to do this other than it's fun to play with.)
There's a plethora of controls in the "Professional"...
Every network camera I've used has a web interface. Are you looking for one that records local? Or doesn't record at all?
Also, Ubiquti cameras come with free NVR software that allows you to view with an app, and they're relatively cheap.
P.S.
I know it's to late for this sell... but Apple has a tool that lets you check if a device is activation locked BEFORE you buy it.
https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/
^
This feature is called "Activation Lock." It's essentially a theft deterrent. The only way around it is stated above.
The previous owner can login to www.icloud.com/find and disable it from there by removing the phone from their account. (If, of course the device isn't stolen.) Otherwise...
Shouldn't use Prime with Haswell-E. Asus ROG RealBench has always worked well for me. I've always test for an hour. If I know I'm pushing it I test overnight.
Interesting, I haven't had one hiccup in any of these games with SLI, with the same chipset.
Everything has been pretty painless. (granted I didn't do an "upgrade" I always install fresh.)
I'm on X99 Deluxe, 5930k, and SLI 980's.
Work IT at a school district. We run virtual Windows 7 computer labs, teachers are mostly on Mac with a few windows machines. I'll spin up a virtual machine with the EDU Version and test in our environment, if everything checks out I'll set up an image and start upgrading the "power users." I...
Hello,
So I've been gifted a 500GB 850 Evo. It is sitting on my desk, I haven't quite decided what approach to take. Looking for a little advice.
Currently I've got a 840 Evo 250GB SSD for OS and a couple of games +programs, and a 1TB HDD for everything else.
Just in games I have about...
For home edition? Yes please! Now when I go to work on somebody's PC I won't have to wait 3 hours for Windows Update.
If you don't want automatic updates, use Pro.
Yep, I had the same issue. My Seinheiser USB headphone sound card would cause boot hang, regardless of settings.
I almost RMA'ed my PSU because of it before I found out USB was the cause.. Funny thing is, Asus wanted to RMA my board, they didn't even suggest it could be a USB issue.
What a lot of you are missing is the fact that there is going to be a fast ring and a slow ring, selectable by users. The fast ring will get updates faster. They're going to roll out an update to X amount of users on home version, make sure that update doesn't cause issues, then roll it out to X...
Got my replacement today! This one is much better. A LOT less light bleed in the bottom right corner.
There is 1 dust spec/dead pixel in the bottom right corner, but it doesn't bother me.
I'll be keeping this one. (I think I'm going to end up wall mounting it, such a wobbly stand!)...
The panel was pretty that's for sure, I'm not sure if it is Acer or another company doing the assembly, but they need to get their QC in check. At $800.00 it shouldn't be a lottery :(
Mine only had one dead pixel for sure (I think), there was another one that was questionable but it had a...
*sigh* Just getting done playing some GTA on it. Game looks great and G-Sync works for the most part! I didnt think the jump to 1440 would be such an improvement, but it looks great.
Now to box it back up and hope the next one is in better shape! Gonna give it one more chance, if it's no good...
The very top pic is most noticeable. Idk if it's trapped dust or what, but its bigger than then other ones.
And this display has a few specs of trapped dust in it, going to play with it a bit tonight just to see how 1440p is compared to my other screen and then either return it or exchange it.
Not yet, I had to go back to work. I'm going to get an eraser and put it in a ziplock baggy and massage them to see if I can make them come to life. If not its back to Newegg it goes!
Well, it arrived today... Screen is gorgeous, 1440p is beautiful, but unfortunately it had some dead pixels.
3 that I found, one may be a cluster. (call me tedious, but I have high expectations for an 800 dollar monitor)
Running the pixel fixer in youtube but I don't have high hopes. I'll...
TroyX where is yours from? I have one coming from Newegg, should be here Thursday. I'm a wee-bit nervous. (although I paid 20 bucks for Prime just to be safe.)
Put in an order at Newegg, should be here midweek! (Premiere member) I'm a little nervous about all the naysaying, but honestly I feel its a bit like anything else in the world. Seldom do you hear about people's good experiences, but all to often you hear about the bad ones.
Either way, will...
