I have a GamersNexus red & black HUD mouse pad that I bought in 2021 but never used so I've decided to sell it. It's never been used before and all of the details on it can be found here: https://store.gamersnexus.net/products/gn-red-black-hud-mouse-mat
It would cost $30 + $14 shipping if you...
The FT02 is one of my all time favorite cases and I wish I had kept mine. It's a shame about them not playing nice with modern videocards though. The build quality was so nice, it was very quiet, and the performance was excellent.
I'm selling my 2TB Western Digital SN850 SSD with Built-In Heatsink. It's been in my PS5 but I haven't needed the extra space so I've decided to just sell it. It's in excellent condition and comes in the original box. Asking $115 shipped via PayPal and buyer must live in the continental USA...
I think GamersNexus did LTT a favor. We were all saying and thinking these things already but GamersNexus just said it publicly. It seems like every other video they put out has errors or on-screen corrections that they didn't bother to check or go back and fix. And the stuff with the pwnage...
I originally built my system in 2020 using noctua paste. I had to remove my cooler recently to swap some ram sticks so I grabbed some fresh noctua paste while I was at it. My temps seem to be exactly the same as before.
Yep that's what I'm waiting on as well. For now my 10700k marches on.
If you do decide to go with AMD then I would choose any chip EXCEPT the 7900x3d. The 6/6 code split with the x3d cache only on one ccx makes it an odd chip regardless of the use case.
I'm debating as well, except with a 10700k.
My system still runs all my games with no issues though so I'll probably just keep what I have throughout the remainder of this year.
Sometimes I get the itch to just grab a used 10900k as a cheap drop-in upgrade and then sell my old cpu to make the...
I'm selling my 2TB Western Digital SN850X SSD. It's in excellent condition and I only had it for about 6 months but then I upgraded to a larger drive so now I'm selling it. Asking $110 shipped. Buyer must live in the continental USA and I only accept PayPal. Thanks!
edit: Sold!
I'm selling my G.Skill RipJaws V F4-3200C14D-16GVK DDR4 memory kits. It's 32GB (8gb x 4), 3200mhz, 14-14-14-34, 1.35v. It's all in excellent condition and runs great. I've been running all 4 sticks together in my main system but recently upgraded so now I'm selling it. Asking $80 shipped. Price...
Interesting... How long would a system on this platform take to boot up? Also, what kind of cooler is compatible with this socket? Those cpus look huge...

Airflow seems great in my system and my temps are fine on my other components like 3090, ssds, etc...
And yep the front of my case is vented grills...
I just did an hour of COD MW2 at 4K max settings while monitoring my temps and the highest temp was 73C on the hottest core, so maybe all cores loaded is just nearly too much heat for this old heatsink. Gaming is totally fine though. Oh well.
Same story with an air cooled 13900k I guess.
I'm using Noctua thermal paste that was applied in summer 2020 when I first installed the cpu (bought brand new, not the original 2011 paste). I looked up how long thermal paste lasts but it seems to be a lot longer than 3 years...
I currently have a 10700k and I've been running it since they came out back in 2020. My system specs are:

Looks like with Intel's 12th/13th gen CPUs and z690/z790 chipsets, you only get 16 total pci-e 5.0 lanes: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/central-libraries/us/en/images/2022-09/z790-chipset-blockdiagram.png.rendition.intel.web.1920.1080.jpg
So even if you do run a pci-e 5.0 ssd, you'll...
From what I understand, with the
Maximus Z690 Hero
Maximus Z690 Hero Evangelion Edition
Maximus Z790 Hero
in order to use pci-e 5.0 storage, none of the m.2 nvme slots directly on the board supoprt 5.0. You have to use the hypercard (add in card) and it will only does pci-e 5.0 in the second...
Honestly at this point I'd consider my time more valuable than the motherboard and just buy a different one.
The one time I had an issue with an Asus motherboard I just exchanged it with Newegg instead of dealing with Asus directly.
