You change your story like you change your undies... First you say there isn't a limit on the chip, now you say there is. I said this from the bloody start!
All NF200 does is allow triple cards to run...
I have 6990+6970 and it forces 8x8x8 all it is, is a hack, NF200 again only allows...
Oh that's right, you have seen my rig, and your the almightly knower of all hardware O/C and otherwise. Another Mr fantastic that knows all shall I say.
I pull more than my 1100watt allows, ergo I run a seperate 450watt PSU.
Leave it alone mate.
Why do you think they are releasing SB-E? to give more lanes, christ almighty, where on earth are you pulling a forced chip bridge of 16+16 that is actually 16x16? A SB will only accept a maximum of 16x PCI-E from graphics...
You show me a benchmark and proof that has a SB running at 16x16...
Ergo you are a tool, I know my system and this is what I have done.
Whatever you run in the US or wherever else in the world, really doesn't matter.
1x 6990 with the bios switch set to 2 draws close to 450 watts, esp when the card is o/c and more, in my instance 960core's on both. Now let's...
And really to be frank, you don't own 2 x 6990's, so how the fuck would you know what draw you get?
I have a 5.2ghz SB with Tri-fire o/c was 2 x 6990's, so please before you speak go and achieve that mate, then tell me what draw you get with everything enabled, that means 7hdd's plus cdrom +...
Why they hell would I put an 1366 in a P55 board? that is strictly for 1156 correct?
You anger towards me tonight I believe has skewerd your head, please get back to the task at hand of helping the guy out, instead of blowing your frustration towards me.
Get laid much? I think you may need it.
Is that a Sandy Bridge chip? I think not...
X58 sets support 1366 pin chip am I correct? that would make it Gen1 for the i7? which does support 16x16.
If you read correctly I am distinctly talking about Sandy Bridge's pci-e lane setup. As he wanted to go down that route.
Add a full load of hdd's and ssd's in the mix, as well as o/c chips, mainboard, memory, gpu's, I found at load that my 1100 will only achieve 80% max efficiency, and crash, so my draw is someone close to theoretical...
To alleviate said pain I put in a 450watter to take the strain off the...
There are no boards that can do 16x/16x, because the Sandy Bridge CPUs only have 16 PCI-e lanes. Some boards fake it by using a PCI-e bridge, which allows the manufacturer to claim the board is 16x/16x when it actually performs like an 8x/8x setup.
Quote upon quote!
Just rememer if your going the SB route, which I have, the 6990 goes in the top as it's 16x and the 6970 in the 2nd slot for 8x... SB only accepts 8x8 when in x-fire... so that's what it will run at. GPU-Z will say 8x for all the GPU's, if you check Catalyst it will also say they are all running...
Your response just shows how immature you are, I merely pointed out a few things!
Your dissing my hardware with "your" limited knowledge just shows your mentality.
Just because I joined 3 days ago, doesn't mean I haven't been here from the start, again another shot at me! Just shut your...
Then may I suggest in future, you say to people, it may be an issue but it is correctable? Rather than saying it's an issue? Not everyone is a technical genius...
It would somewhat alleviate some of the questions maybe from other's not so much in the know, that they would be able to rectify...
Do you need an urban dictionary for the meaning?
You were on about SLI microstutter... Do not give people the impression that buying SLI will amount to microstutter.
That is just wrong, please be a little more helpful towards the general populace in the future.
I do not run 2 x 6990's now, I ditched bitcoin and quads do not scale right... I get more performance out of the tri-fire.
Also I do not care for power, I wan't stability, I find my power pull and O/C is crap without suppliment... So in essence if I was green I wouldn't O/C the shit out of...
Say what again m&$@#* f^3ker :D
I thought it would make sense, why do I need to explain?
If you want my findings, then I suggest you look up my posts in this forum.
If then you have questions, please ask.
Depends on the game, for instance TF2 can spike to nearly 700fps!
With 16xAF and 4xAA in BFBC2 I can hit 250 but drop to 58, which I see as minimum, I find that 70 is a good compromise in big battles, same goes for HAWX2
I've tried 90 and 120 fps limit, but I find at the AF and AA settings, it...
I run a 6990 with a 6970 oc's, I power the main system with an 1100watt thermaltake which also runs the 6970, and I put in a seperate 450watt thermaltake 5 1/4 drive bay psu to run the 6990 on it's own... legacy of my bitcoin days with 2 x 6990's ;)
cooling I run 4 fans from the case inside...
Yeah 11.9 CAP2 with 11.10 previews, default memory on the 6990's but upped the core's to 960, the 6970 runs default mem with a core of 950.
I also found that a setting of 70fps limit works best across the board, I'm able to play 16xAF and 4xAA on pretty much most things, even HAWX2 which is...
Scratch all that, 11.10 preview with cap2 and bandicam set to 90fps fixed almost everything...
Still tiny stutter, but this is what I would expect to get with 5760x1080 16AF x 4MSAA
As the name suggests I have a 2600k SB running at 5+ghz, ssd's, 16gb ram CL8, 6990+6970, asus p8z68-deluxe, 2 x psu's, water cooling, no temp issues... pcie is 8x8x8 with this configuration.. 11.9's with cap1, tried drivers down to 11.5, I've tried pretty much every driver combo on the market...
