I am trying to overclock my processor which is a AMD Phenom II X4 940 and this is the motherbaord I have Asus M2N SLi Deluxe, but I can not seem to get it stable can anyone help please. I have bios version 5001.

I just put it to 1.5V like you said and the multiplyer at x15 so it's running at 3.01GHz at idle temp of about 55oC so I take it I do need a new CPU cooler. Is this ok to run at for a couple of weeks? Will it damage the CPU being this hot? Also what about the core frequencey I still not sure...

What about the core frequencey? What does that need to be set to....I have it currently on x15 Multiplyer and 1.4V and my system is sitting at 50oC or sometimes just under, I don't want to blow my CPU up lol. I know the max temp is 72oC that my CPU is ment to handle. My cooler is after market...
