I was going to get a 3080 and tried for a while. I am putting it off now, maybe black friday or after Christmas, dunno. The 1080 ti will have to handle business for a while. I am getting gutters for the house. Gutters are not much more than a 3080 and less than a 3090. Weird times.

The new batteries are supposed to be cobalt free and according the Musk there is enough Lithium and Nickel in the US to supply the batteries. Musk has been openly recruiting Nickel miners that mine responsibly.

I won't be able to use the fancy cover, but I have an AIO bracket from an older setup that should fit nicely.

I was waiting for a good used 980ti, but after this, I will probably get a 1070.

I just got my 6700k and motherboard in today. Have everything but the power supply and that should arrive tomorrow.

Installed the WWEE mod and I am glad that I did. Looks a lot better and some of the annoying menu issues are gone.

GOOD NEWS! I flashed the bios chip on the motherboard using the chip clip and the CH341A programmer and it now lives! Thanks so much for your help. The first thing I did was setup IPMI!!

I tried removing the memory chip and didn't get any beeps. The board isn't trying to access the flash drive either.

Fury X may not be the 980 Ti killer, but it is not a failure. A lot of innovation and goodness from AMD.
