I think it would be more fair to compare Win8 to Vista sales. Win7 is an excellent OS, similar to what XP was back in the day. It's hard to convince people to upgrade for what is perceived as a cosmetic only update.

This just in, nVidia is a horible company all around. They always play dirty, but they do make good hardware. And frankly, as long as their windows drivers work well, I could care less how it runs on Linux (or how easy they are to work with.)

+1 dgingeri Poor Apple their OS is less popular than Vista. To be fair most Mac users instal some form of Windows on their machine though, so this may not really be a fair comparision.
