You guys in the US are so lucky.
No Google Music, spotify, pandora, etc in Canada... (well... at least not if you don't go through methods to circumvent their checks)
I'm not sure about the shipping cost... but here is a link to buy from monoprice... looks pretty cheap (but do check the shipping cost)

but hopefully the software solution can work
It should be able to based on the specs:
Supports : Jack-detection, Multi-streaming, Front Panel Jack-retasking
Try to access the audio manager that's installed with the audio driver. Plug in both headphones. Retask the front mic port to act as a headphone jack. (Simply plugging in two...
Thanks 123Lanoix, but I already placed an order for the E17.
Impulse, I checked the the Audioengine N22, and couldn't find the output impedance either..... but I suppose they will tell you if you ask?
Also I took another look at the D1 specs, it has Output impedance: 47 ohms RCA, 10 ohms...
Hmm... I guess I will go with the fiio e17 for now. I still go to school, and could definitely use the portability, although not a requirement.
Down the road, when I'm finished and don't have to move around as much, I guess I'll have the chance to upgrade!
Thanks guys for the awesome help...
Thanks for the replies!
I have looked into both the fiio e17 and O2+ODAC combo.
Now based on my readings, my Ultrasone pro 900s will not benefit too much from a powerful amp due to its minimal input impedance. Is this true? Would that mean I wouldn't get much improvement with the O2+ODAC...
Thanks! I didn't even know this 1/8 rule until you mentioned the output impedances, and I did a search for it.
Will there be huge differences in DAC/Amp quality for the units under $500?
For example the E17 is about $139.99 in Canada, and when I was reading head-fi, I saw them raving...
I have recently gotten a lenovo X230, and I have found there to be slight hissing when listening on my headphones (Ultrasone Pro 900).
I have been looking for a DAC in the price range upper limit of about $200 - 300 (Of course less is better if there isn't too much trade-offs)
I saw the...
Just saw these from Ducky's facebook page.
Ducky DK9008 G2 Pro with MX cherry green switches (Apparently stiffer version of the MX cherry blues) with PBT keycaps. I really would like to feel them :D
Coming November in Taiwan first. I wonder when they'll come to North America
I'd keep the NECs since they are so much cheaper for you (student)... And with 3 of them, the desktop viewing areas shouldn't be that much of a concern.
Then once you have money later, you can just buy nice 3x30" or whatever to your liking.
Yea, it's just like dropbox.. but what is neat about it is that you don't have to store files into the cloud if you don't want to (can just be a device to device sync - albeit both devices would have to be on at the same time if the data is not in the cloud)
my understanding is that Crucial makes 2 sizes of 2.5" M4 drives
for example if yours is
CT064M4SSD2 (64GB) it would be the one with 9.5mm height
CT064M4SSD1 (64GB) would be 7mm in height
I have 0 invites left to give away. (It`s currently invite only)

Disclosure: I do get an extra 1GB by inviting people to a max of 5 people. Once you are invited, you should have invites to give to others too.
Same with me, I recently bought a Dell U2312HM to put beside my U2410. The U2312 for some reason looks pinkish. (Now I don't know which one of my monitors is not correct - or if both are messed).
I think it's because the fans on the HX were drawing out the hot air from the case.. whereas the AX's fans don't spin most of the time. It's like removing a fan.
why are companies like true religion jeans, l'real, tiff co, etc on there? as far as i know, they have no reason to support this. Their products cannot even be pirated.
