What an amazing device. I should have bought a colorimeter years ago, it would have saved me hours of trying to get my monitors to match up color-wise. Can't recommend this thing enough, and all I've done was build the ICC profile for my two old (x203w) monitors. Can't wait to fire it up...
Just ordered two of em with the stand, we'll see how they are. Dell claimed they are PWM free. I guess we'll see.

Think I'm going with two of these. Going to order through prime so if flicker becomes an issue for me I can return and get something different. Anything else that is vastly better for around the same price?
So I am looking for a new monitor for my desktop and there is this whole PWM vs flicker-free etc. And without actually using it regularly it seems hard to know by just going to the store if you are in the "minority" that are affected. I have a dell e6410 laptop and it is LED backlit, and I'm...
So I'm looking for an IPS screen because I want a good all around screen.
I do a lot of gaming, web browswing, and software development. I'm not a super competitive gamer so I don't think I need 5000hz monitor to prevent any ghosting or tearing. Right now I'm gaming on Acer X203w's and...
Just thought I'd give it a shot out here. Looking for an extension that can be used to aggregate text that is flagged in multiple pages and combine it onto one page. For example:
Page 1:
Random textdkfdslf
<flagged text>I want this to be included in a different page</flagged text>...
Have a dell e6410 that runs mcafee av. Every once in a while the system will randomly lock up for about a second or two and then snap back to normal. When it's frozen nothing works, everything just pauses. It seems like if I hover over items in the menu so the preview pops up and then I move...
Anyone have experience with it? Currently using it to do backups of my OS drives to a remote backup server and was wondering if the default backup is fine or if I should use sector by sector? Does it matter? Currently I am not using SBS so I can save a little extra space, but if it's safer to...
I recently purchased a samsung spinpoint hd204ui 2tb. Following directions I saw here I formatted the drive on windows 7 using the defaults thinking it would align it. Installed the drive on the windows xp machine and it does not appear to be working correctly. I don't want to uninstall the...
Currently what I'm serving from is using windows xp. I'm going to buy a new disk today and I know that the 4k sector size doesn't play well with windows xp. My question is is there a nice way to make it work with xp without too much fuss, or should I just scrap windows at this time and throw...
I have PC A which is my temporary file server, which is a e6600 2 gigs of ram, 750 gig WD 5400 rpm blue drive.
PC B i7 920 6 gigs of ram Samsung 500 gig 7200 rpm.
When I transfer from PC A to PC B I get about 80MB/s transfer, which I would expect.
The weird thing is when I go PC B to...
So I'm a bit of a fileserver newb. Up until this build I just had automated backups go to my old gaming rig. I want something with a bit more capacity that I can throw some extra drives in as I get the money. Not sure if I need/want a RAID setup since there isn't anything mission critical...
Ok so I have an e6600 (stock clock) 2 gigs of ram and 8800 GTS 512meg machine. Right now I have SMP running and it's going at about 36 TPF on project 6701 and the GPU is going about :50 TPF on project 5772. Should I run the GPU client exclusively, run the classic client with GPU, smp with...
