    Seiki Pro SM40UNP 40"/ SM32UNP 30"4K LED Monitors

Crossover 44k, AMH A399U, and possibly the PCPOP-PP-039UHD4K (haven't seen any third party confirmation on this one).

    Seiki Pro SM40UNP 40"/ SM32UNP 30"4K LED Monitors

Yes, but there are both PWM and PWM-free monitors using the same panel for less money (Innolux 40"). Most have a longer warranty, too.

Yes, that is the reviewer I was referring to.

    Vizio 43" 4k M43-C1

Would be a real bargain if this did 4:4:4, hopefully the linked reviewer just didn't use the correct input or settings. 120hz at 1080p is a nice bonus, even if the screen is a bit large for that res.

    LG 43UF7700 / UF770 series . 4K

There's also the 49UF7600, which supports 4k60 4:4:4. Explicitly confirms it in the manual, I'm wondering what kind of latency they've gotten these mega IPS panels down to. My old S-IPS from 2008 (47LG50) had about 20ms total, so they definitely know how to do it.

    Latency testing at UHD 4k

I've still found http://tft.vanity.dk/inputlag.exe to be very accurate and useful when used with high shutter speed cameras. I'd really like to see someone put this next to an established 1080p/1440p display and compare the time. Spare us the downsides of flash-based testers, please.

Low Price 40" UHD TV & Monitor in korea

The A399U has a bunch of discussion on a Korean page stating that it only does 4:2:0 @ 60hz. http://prod.danawa.com/info/?pcode=3072966&cate=113947 TIENA has some manufacturer claims of doing 4:4:4 @ 4k60, but I can't make sense of any confirmation reports in the comments...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

This image is still a reliable way to test 4:4:4, I haven't seen anyone snap it since the new firmware.

Crap, hopefully it's in the works for those models. Thanks for checking WorldExclusive and Dan_D.
  10. Q

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Can someone confirm the update allows 4:4:4 in game mode on the 6500/6700? I was about to go for the Wasabi-Mango, but this makes the Samsung a whole lot more appealing!
  11. Q

    VR Only?

Yes! It's been gradually getting better, and Google is working on a dedicated OS fork just for this purpose. This will let those of us with OLED panels take advantage of low-level hardware functions to get the experience even closer. I do recommend paying a couple bucks more for the...

    positioning of speakers

The Miccas are 11" wide and 16" tall. If that's still too large, there's the Aune X3 Which are only 8" by 6" by 5".
  13. Q

    positioning of speakers

If your speakers have high-frequency drivers, or tweeters, many of the different types are directional. This means if they aren't angled towards the listening position, you'll miss out on the high-frequency sounds coming from them. It's especially true for ribbon and horn type tweeters...

    what happen to FrozenCpu?

Apparently the owner has substance abuse problems. Flipped out one day and trashed the office, while firing some long-time employees for arbitrary reasons. The entire workforce basically walked out after that. I will never be giving them a dime of my business after this stunt. Info...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

I have no issues with the Twisted Veins 15ft cable I linked earlier in the thread. If you need a longer run, definitely try that one since it's so inexpensive.

    Good, breathable headphones

Breathable open and low sound leakage is somewhat of an oxymoron in headphones. In that range I'd look at the Phillips Fidelio X2s and Beyerdynamic DT990 for open, DT770 for closed. The closed are going to have more bass and no leakage, but will be less breathable.

    LG leaks 8K iMac info

While 8k sounds awesome after using phones with 200+ PPI for years, it's hard enough to drive and find content for 4k with current GPU tech. With that said, I own both 40" and 24" 4k displays, and the difference in sharpness is definitely noticeable on an OS that properly scales.
  18. Q

    VR Only?

I can definitely see someone incorporating that into a VR headset soon! Right now makers are struggling to bring unique selling points to the market, and I don't think walled sandboxes are going to get results like that kind of feature. Remember the OCZ NIA device? That was a cool toy almost...

How much does screen size really matter?

I completely agree that both horizontal and vertical estate are hard things to give up! While I do like the 34" ultra-wides, a 43-46" 4k 120hz+ IPS with GSYNC would be absolutely perfect in this regard.

    P2415Q Question

Yes, you need to upgrade to get 4k60, I suggest at least a single GTX 980 if you want the latest games on high detail. I own this screen, and it's an SST display. The problem is, only HDMI 2.0 and Displayport 1.2+ support the bandwidth needed for this usage. The included Displayport cable...

    Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4-3400 Review

CL14 at 3050mhz is pretty damn good, even for Hynix chips. Looks like these might be the new guaranteed set for overclockers!

New Samsung 840 Evo burned me.

Lots of shitposting, why would recovery software used after the fact have anything to do with the cause? Try another SATA port, preferably one on a different controller if you have multiples on your board. Next, run chkdsk /f and check SMART status with a tool like HD Tune or CrystalDiskInfo...
  25. Q

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Over 32" it's next to impossible unless you have a freakishly long torso. In my experience with 40-47" displays, as long as my eye-level was above midline of the display, there's been no craning or cramping involved. The difference in height between the 40" and 48" is negligible in this...

AMD should rename their "FreeSync" ad, I think its a slap in the face

So far, the savings have only been passed onto the monitor makers. The freesync displays are less than 50 dollars apart in some cases, or use crappier panels in an attempt to seem like a good deal. I'm thinking after sales fail to meet expectations, they'll either change their tune and price...

Arctic silver, price too good to be true?

With shipping it's nothing special at all, I'd get Gelid GC-Extreme or Coollabratory Liquid Pro for that money.

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

Uh oh, that's what my Sony did when it overheated. Was a defect with the Playstation 3D display, and worked exactly like you described. Started "blinking" every so often, increasing in frequency as the panel heated up. Check the temperature of the back next time this happens. Hopefully it turns...

    Logitech G502 currently $59.00 @ Amazon

Yes, and the tilt-click functions can be mapped to any other button or macro, too. I've got mine set to switch tracks for media players, with the below-wheel button for play/pause.
  30. Q

    C15 vs. C16

With most brands it's a toss-up, and you'll have to bin them based on the serial number. G-skill serials have 3400 for Hynix, 3500 for Samsung and 3300 for Micron IIRC. To guarantee Hynix you'd have to get something like the Corsair Dominator Platinum, though I have these sticks and they do...

    New Samsung 4k for everyone.

It seems this is the case, but I'm waiting for some more reviews or measurements to come out since we've had quite a few different numbers. Anything under 25ms is fine for me, but I would rather stick with the Phillips at 40ms+.
  32. Q

Best LCD with low input lag ?

At that price level I'd either get the SE50UY04 for 500 bucks (BestBuy doesn't sell these anymore), or the 40" Samsung JU6500 for around 750 with that coupon. They should be stocking these within the next week or two, and you'll still be able to get 4:4:4 in game mode if you only care about...
  33. Q

    C15 vs. C16

You're talking a less than 5% difference between CL15 2666 and CL16 2400 in raw benches. Even less for real-world application. See http://www.anandtech.com/show/8959/ddr4-haswell-e-scaling-review-2133-to-3200-with-gskill-corsair-adata-and-crucial/4 A bigger difference would come in if you...

    Samsung XP941 m.2 (X2) Vs. Samsung 850 Pro?

Depends on what chipset/platform you have. Works great on my Win8.1 machine on an ASRock X99 board. :D
  35. Q

    Logitech G502 currently $59.00 @ Amazon

Not to mention, the DPI up/down buttons can easily be rebound to mouse1 for added ham-finger support.
  36. Q

    Logitech G502 currently $59.00 @ Amazon

While the buttons are narrow, the sensor in the G502 and G303 are the best on the market currently, the PMW3366DM. The metal click wheel has tilt/freescrolling, and is almost as nice as the one on my RAT7. The 602's have the same run-of-the-mill Avago AM010 sensor found in the 20 dollar G100s.
  37. Q

Best LCD with low input lag ?

Doubt it since nobody has posted confirmation of it doing so, and I don't think Godmachine would be saying that no TV can if it did. This guy doesn't seem to be having much luck, either. The Seiki has around 35ms out of the box, while the Vizio M's have closer to 40ms. See HERE and HERE for...
  38. Q

Best LCD with low input lag ?

I don't know what gave you that impression, but it's been possible for a while since HDMI 1.4b came out. Just check the thread for the model I named, and see how many users are doing just that. Vizio M-series are another, and some of the 2015 4k sets are also likely 120hz capable over HDMI 2.0
  39. Q

Best LCD with low input lag ?

This is not true at all. Even the inexpensive SE50UY04 and it's 39" sibling do 1080p @ 120hz over HDMI. Most "120hz" panels don't have actual 120hz panels, but why would HDMI have anything to do with it?
  40. Q

    Samsung XP941 m.2 (X2) Vs. Samsung 850 Pro?

Well you also have the option of using a PCI-E x4 adapter to tide you over, that should give you near-4x M.2 slot performance. The 850s in RAID give nearly as many benefits as these M.2 cards do, they aren't far off my XP941 in sequential benches. 4kQD32 and 4k64Thrd also get a nice bump...
