It's reflective. It's a custom aftermarket balanced cable for HD800s and when you shine a light on the cable, sometimes that happens.
The tube amp is the Eddie Current Balancing Act and the DAC is a GNSC modified Wadia 27.
Got my third monitor. Finally no issues.
So according to that review, the standard preset mode is the most accurate in regards to colors? I want to know which preset mode I should use before I calibrate with my Spyder.
I've already tried with the 15%, just waiting for some sort of response. Unfortunately I was under the impression that the last one was restricted to the 3011. I have a couple of 20% coupons but they won't honor them even though there shouldn't be any restrictions. I might have to end up...
It's a $1500 monitor. It's not exactly for the taking for the masses. The ZR30w had less than 50 pre-orders before they started shipping. So somehow the 3011 got ten times that in less than a week?
The 10 percent coupon worked but having problems getting that 15 percent coupon.
Ground shipping for me with the 3008 was less than 2 days so it's not like it's floating for a week.
Does anyone know if Dell is still doing the small business coupon?
Also thinking about trying to get Dell to replace the 3008 with the 3011 as someone had some luck on that front.
The chart is pretty impressive. Are you sure about the 3011's vertical height? I am under the impression that a 30inch 16:10 is still wider than a 16:9 27 inch.
You can if you get a monitor arm and switch the monitor to portrait. I'm just wondering about what the resolution would be for both monitors if I did so.
You're right, I didn't think that through. It'll be around the 5k range at minimum. Over $10k I think is pushing it. It also depends when they release it, for example if they can reduce manufacturing costs by end of next year then this could be closer to $3k.
So there isn't any estimates in regards to what the values should be? I pretty much need to mess around with the colors to get the lowest Delta E value and then calibrate?
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but the wider the gamut, the more the colors will be oversaturated so the ZR-30w will look worse than the LG or even previous HP monitors unless under very specific circumstances.
The contrast and brightness isn't a problem but rather the color adjustments with the Custom RGB setting. The Spyder software didn't give any recommendations on that and I can't find anything on what is ideal for that. Also yes it's sRGB mode but should I be messing around with Adobe?
I'm a gold cross in COD4, 7th prestige in WaW, 4th prestige in MW2. The only reason I'm not 10th prestige in the latter two is because I hate the games in comparison to MW. For awhile I was ranked in the top 1000 in kills for MW2.I've logged over 23 days in MW. I got up to rank 46 in Halo 3...
Ok I have the Spyder 3 and started to mess around wig the calibration stuff. I'm wondering what setups I need to do in the OSD to maximize the performance of my display. Thanks.
I've learned my new pet peeve. IPS glow for some reason just irritates the crap out of me and I know NEC stopped with the porarizer which helped. So who is still manufacturing monitors with the polarizers?
So I've been looking at the 80gb X-25M. I really don't want to go above $400 so would one of the Vortexs give more more space and be faster than the Intel?
