Exchange, Android, and multiple folder synchronization

Hello hello. I have a couple hopefully simple questions. I'll preface the post by saying I'm using a Galaxy Nexus, rooted, on a mostly stock ROM, and my work uses Exchange 2007. My major concern I have is that only my Inbox keeps synchronized with the server, not the other folders. I've messed...

Down memory Lane : s939 Opterons

It was much worse, albeit without the "it's over, they're going bankrupt" rhetoric since Intel was clearly too entrenched. I would also argue that P4s were much worse in comparison to s939 than Bulldozer is to 1155/1366 - albeit I'm pretty sure P4s didn't lose to P3s in benchmarks.

Did AMD "kill" their enthusiast crowd...???

Wow, thanks for the link to that cancerous shithole, I'm really enjoying some of the posts over there. This may be a favorite, though - http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/Stocks_%28A_to_Z%29/Stocks_A/threadview?m=te&bn=893&tid=1917348&mid=-1&tof=15&rt=2&frt=2&off=1#-1

Which budget cooler to couple with the i5-2500k and ASUS P8Z68-V PRO

I guess that could be a problem for some desk configurations, but if you've gotta change cases for that reason, go with a HAF 922 or something. Hell, if you've gotta have Antec, get a DF-30 or something.. the 300 is an awful case and I can't disparage it enough.

Which budget cooler to couple with the i5-2500k and ASUS P8Z68-V PRO

Speaking as someone who owns and uses a 300 as his case - why would you want do that?! The 300 is an AWFUL AWFUL case compared to the HAF X.

How to set up a SMALL cloud-storage facility?

AMD FX-8150 Efficiency vs. Other Processors (Tom's)

Just to be clear, we're talking about the same bitcoins that were only worth anything for a brief, brief window because they were highly speculated, and, now that the speculators have pumped and dumped, are now worth less than 3 USD, right?

    JF-AMD responded on Anand forum.

Wow, that post from pxc really pisses me off. AMD was amazing in the AMD64 era - are you (or rather, is he) telling me that AMD could have continued to trade blows at a meaningful level with Intel if it wasn't for idiot managers?

This is why bulldozer is late..... AMD finally admits!

Yahoo mail is the #1 free email provider in the U.S. Doesn't mean anyone in the tech industry considers them worth emulating; they just have a lot of latent momentum in their userbase from tons of people who don't know any better. They're not a mover-and-shaker, as it were, which is why their...

HP Kills off WebOS Hardware Production

webOS's card system and user chat system (grouping together people's Gtalk & SMS into one profile, and being able to message both from within the same window, in a threaded view) were two amazing features that I'd like to see come to Android. I also miss webOS's search bar, because you could...

You'd better hope Microcenter is doing better than Fry's, because Fry's just cut their in-store supervisor salaries by 50-75% company wide, and axed a number of supervisor positions as well. The blood is in the water for Fry's.

Price matching always requires a call. That having been said, Microcenter's website always says how much they have in stock, also. It is what it is. I'm just telling you.

    Microcenter prices on sandy bridge

Most likely we'd price match based on whatever you'd be paying out the door. Do keep in mind that us price matching is contingent on the part being in stock. Essentially a price match is designed to keep you from walking out the door to someone else's store - but if the other store can't give...

    Fry's matches online prices now

Apologies if using this subforum to say this violates the rules, but I just wanted Hardforum at large to know Fry's is matching Internet prices now. It has to be a real retailer (no Amazon hosted sellers, no eBay) but we'll do, for example, Amazon.com, Newegg.com, TigerDirect.com, etc.

    Microcenter prices on sandy bridge

They're not. I work at a Fry's, the margin on processors is stupid thin. I promise you MC is selling them at a loss. Yes we will. The official policy changed in December. We match the Internet at large now, as long as it's a respectable retailer (no eBay, no Amazon Marketplace, but...

For those who use LCD TV as your PC display, please help

This worked for me on my LCD TV. I'm curious - do TVs *always* overscan inputs, even on things like blu-ray players? Should I always be readjusting the TV to do 1:1 regardless of the source?

    LGA 1155 and 2011 details.

Boards range between $130 (the MSI P67-C45) to $190 (MSI P67-C65), off the top of my head. Sorry, we have a bunch of boards in the system now, and I didn't memorize which ones we have. (Typically though, UD7 boards are special order status only anyway). I really only know the range of the prices...

    LGA 1155 and 2011 details.

Uh, that's very, very, very incorrect. 1155 is priced pretty much exactly the same as 1156 is right now. I work at a Fry's, we've been able to see prices for the boards & procs for awhile now. The most expensive 1155 you can get is the i7 2600K for like $320 - a whole $20 more than an i7 950...

How much does it cost Intel to produce a Gulftown?

A few other people have already covered the critical issue that cost is much more tied up in R&D than actual production of wafers, but I think it also bears mentioning that 980x processors absolutely dominate Thuban, and therefore Intel can get away with charging a lot more. The popularity of...

i7-870 or I7-875K or i7-930 , which one is the best choice for extreme gaming?

But what resolution is that for you? 1920 * 1080? 1680 * 1050? We don't know what monitor(s) you have. They have higher stock clock speeds than the 930, so you can see them winning in the benchmark charts that got linked further up the thread. The 930 is the better processor if you actually...

Best CPU/GPU combo for the cost and power consumption

Best CPU/GPU combo for the cost and power consumption

Myeh, I leave my rig on 24/7 almost always for torrenting purposes, and my Kill-a-Watt reports that I've spent about $6.60 worth of electricity in the 463 hours that I've been running my pair of monitors, router, modem, and rig on. (I pay $0.10 per kWh, for math purposes). I mean, I'm not...

Sell an i7/wait for Sandy Bridge or Bulldozer?

Ok, so I've acquired a core i7 940 through Intel's retail edge program. My question is pretty basic: due to the fact that I can't build this system for at least 3 months, and the fact that this processor is already super discontinued, and with Sandy Bridge looming, should I just eBay or...

Those with T-Mobile: Do you roam off ATT?

Within the United States, Verizon is untouchable for one single network's coverage. T-Mobile's footprint is a joke compared to theirs and AT&T's, while much more through compared to T-Mobile, still can't touch Verizon.

Bought a 1055T at Fry's B&M, open it to find it used

We're on the same page, then, but I do want to point out that $200 buys you a quad core i5 (http://www.frys.com/product/5981624?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG), not a dual core i5.

    Friends computer build

If you live near a Fry's, $100 is more than enough for one of our crappy combos. Or if he's willing to save up a bit more, $130-140 will usually get you something pretty damn decent. I realize this doesn't address the issue of his current computer, but honestly any money you spend on that one...

Canceling data after a month on T-Mobile

I just checked on T-Mobile's website. So no, you're not going to be able to avoid a data plan on it. This is a fairly common question, and the answer is always no.
  35. G

Those with T-Mobile: Do you roam off ATT?

No, Sprint and Verizon will roam full monty on each other's networks. Sprint got a good reciprocal roaming deal with Alltell back in the day, and Verizon expanded on it after they acquired Alltell.
  36. G

Those with T-Mobile: Do you roam off ATT?

They'll voice roam off each other, and EDGE, but they won't 3G roam. Also if you are anticipating being in an area with shoddy coverage a lot go with the better provider, not the cheaper one. Reason being that your phone will cling to the crappy T-Mobile signal for as long as it possibly can...

Bought a 1055T at Fry's B&M, open it to find it used

Depends on the type of gaming you do - Bad Company 2 is a much better game on a quad core, for example, and multicores are trending now with game developers. I'm not denying that the hexacore AMDs are great processors or anything, but it's a little absurd to paint them as the end all be all...

Looking for a X58 Board for i7 and SLI

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006 looks like a good choice. In general, on power supplies, always be extremely picky about it by brand. Antec, Cooler Master and Corsair are the brands I'd be looking at, and pretty much disregarding everything else.* *I know...

Bought a 1055T at Fry's B&M, open it to find it used

$200 will buy you an i5 which will meet or beat the hexacore AMDs in a lot of applications. Hell, last weekend $200 would have bought you an i7 860. Hell, if you were lucky enough to go to the Dallas store by 8:30 in the morning (before the only one sold out) you could have bought the i7 950...

Bought a 1055T at Fry's B&M, open it to find it used

It's a waste of time to make the sales staff check the computers, the combos are always printed out on 3x5 signs right next to the motherboards. Also, we have no way to search for combos specifically.
