Question about scaling with Nvidia GTX 970. It initially was turned on to Aspect ratio scaling. I turned it off but an am unsure what the difference is. I also read that GPU scaling can add input lag. Also there is a setting for GPU or display setting I am unsure of. Anyone have any recommendations?
I have a Dell U2311H and its anti-glare coating is pretty harsh. Everyone has said the newer ultrasharp monitors are much better. But the older U2311H is not that bad so I cannot imagine this one being worse.
My U2515H got delivered on Sat but I won't be home to play with it until Wednesday...
I just realized that you have double the amount of graphics memory than my model macbook has. That can make a difference compared to mine. Also if you use your macbook as a clamshell and only drive the external monitor it might work out much better. I recommend connecting your macbook to your TV...
Looks great. I am glad I ordered this. Cannot wait for it to arrive. Hopefully the 25" screen doesn't bother me with the tiny pixels. I recently had a 27" iMac and moved over to a custom build PC and am missing the screen resolution. I am only using a 23" 1080p monitor right now.
I have the same specs on my laptop. when I drive a 1080p monitor it has troubles keeping up in certain situations. Ie watching videos and editing photos
It would be able to but not sure how well your computer would run. I have a 2008 15" with the two graphics cards and when I drive a 1080p monitor my computer gets real slow. I think our macbook's have similar graphics cards. Which one does yours have? I would recommend trying it out on a friends...
I have looked around for a few days now and am unsure what to get. I would like to use the monitor for gaming and photo/video editing. I currently have a Dell U2311H and would like another IPS monitor with a low input lag for gaming. Right now I am looking at the Asus Asus VS248H-P, Dell P2414H...
Ok I figured out what was wrong. His write up was missing things because of wordpress not showing them correctly. If you go back he fixed it.

I enabled it and followed those instructions and still does not work. Now I cannot access my server and getting no connection. I need to go back and look at my pf.conf file to make sure I entered all of the correct things. But just to clarify if my router is 192.168.1.1 my network subnet is...
Yea I did both of these and still no go. I will post my VPN files later to make sure they are correct. Also concerning the routing table, do I connect my OpenVPN subnet to my router (192.168.1.1)?
I have been trying to setup an OpenVPN server on my FreeNAS box for the past few days and have been having troubles with it. I can connect to the server but want all of my traffic sent through the VPN. When I enable it nothing works. I am thinking about trying out Raspberri Pi but am unsure on...
Yea I did update the bios to the most recent release. After much trial and error I think it is the 6 GB/s hard drive speed causing problems with freenas. So I actually sold this hard drive and got 3 more Samsung F4 2tb drives that I know work. Thanks Though
Ok, so I connected to the mobo on port 1 with nothing else and still does not show up. I have a esata dock so I put the hard drive in there and connected to to my mobo and it shows up fine in Freenas!?!? I am really confused.
So, I figured out that if I change my settings from AHCI to IDE in the bios the hard drive shows up. But it is set at UDMA-33 and not Sata like the rest of the hard drives in my setup. Why is this hard drive doing this?
So I made my pool with the -f command. Now when I access it through smb/afp it says "You need permission to perform this action" I did not set up authentication. How do I fix this?
I recently built a Freenas with a Zacate board also. I got the ASUS E35M1-M PRO with 8GB of 1066 Ram because I needed the extra PCI slot. It works amazing with very little power but still get great speeds. When I get mine all set up I will post performance speeds also.
Ok I wanted to make sure I was doing it right but last time I tried 'zpool create -f -m xxx raidz device1 device2 device3 device4' and had problems with accessing it via smb and afp. I was getting permissions problems on my mac and pc. What is the '-m' command? I will try it without the '-m'...
I am using 2 2Tb Drives and 2 1Tb drives. When I try to make the pool it gives me an error and in the log it says to use -f command. How exactly do I do this?
Thanks
it has been my backup for my HTPC for the past few weeks since I got it so it has been working on another machine. It shows up in BIOS but it no where in Freenas does it show it is connected.
I have the hitachi with 3 other hard drives but the hitachi is the only one that is not showing up in freenas. I switched ports and sata cables but still no go. I have looked around but can't find this problem anywhere else.
FYI I meant 5k3000 not 5k300
