Those make a nice setup! I hope NEC keeps pumping out good displays like these for many years to come.

I use a NEC LCD2490WUXI (w/polarizer) + NEC LCD2190UXP hooked up with my desktop and work laptop through a Gefen KVM. I used to have a Dell but my eyes always hurt because they crank up the brightness too much and it cannot be lowered. The NEC has seemed to do the trick however. I threw in some...

    Ikea desk gallery

It is the Belkin Ergonomic Keyboard. It was discontinued a few years back (I was able to pick up 4 at $15 a pop). It is my absolute favorite keyboard because: 1) it is black; 2) it is ergonomic and I have big hands; 3) it has the normal-size arrow keys, not like "t" skinny ones. The only drag...

@willy88 Yeah, I still haven't told my wife about it yet; which is something I will never do lol! It really is an amazing chair though. It was really hard to figure out at first. I was setting it for a curved back because that is what I thought I had. However, after a week my back was in real...

Here is my office, as I work out of the home. The only thing I have left that I want to do is get a door for left portion of the tall cabinet. Ikea sells a double-door for one pane. Oh yeah, I also need to fix my cable management.

You are talking about the wood ones right in black/brown? They are nice and I was going to get those until I saw the black glass galant desks. The price is $230 with legs and the frame; I don't know what the wood one costs with legs and a frame too but check it out. The only downside is you have...

    The Lian Li Gallery

Note: In the "office shots" you will see a FT02 case which I have replaced now with a PC-P50 (not in the office shots). You can see the PC-P50 in the pictures below. Also, I know my wiring job in the PC-P50 sucks but after I spent eons getting everything setup I was like screw it, I'm not going...

Yeah those vented covers are a pain in the PC-P50. Also, regarding the FT02, if you check out the FT02 thread I posted pics and instructions to make the filtering better and used some 120mm fans in place of the 180mm fans. I really liked the FT02. I just wish it could fit drives up to 200mm...

No, that was 50% of the reason. The other 50% was because my SAS drives, even though they are 2.5", were around 44c under full load. In the PC-P50 they are around 30c under full load. Those reasons may seem silly to you but regarding the hot-swap, that is a feature I critically need. I could...

Figured I would start a thread up for PC-P50 owners. There is a good bit of room in the case but it is clearly no full tower. It would be cool to see some SLI pics if any of you guys have some. Shots Front: http://www.imagebam.com/image/0bb02075401416 Inside...

    Noctua NH-D14 CPU Cooler / Heatsink Review @ [H]

I am running the NH-D14 and after three hours in prime I max out at 77c on my 920 OC'd to 4.2 w/HT enabled. Here is a pic (though it only shows prime for an hour; and the deltas are wonky because I just ran IBT and did not give the system a chance to reach idle temps again which are around 37c)...

Nice review. I was going to post some shots of the temps using the NH-D14 but I will move them to the threat for that heatsink.

    Cooling a PC-P50

Buy a bigger case? In all honesty a PC-P50 is not well suited for dual xeon and sli and folding 24/7. You need a full tower for that.

@baco80 Just to show you what you can do with the stock NH-D14 fans, right now I'm at 4.2ghz with HT off on my i7-920. The chip is at 1.275v and 60c under full load. Let's see how high we can go :D EDIT: Okay, I am capped either by my motherboard or ram at 4.3ghz and 1.3v. Under load I'm...

Your question is invalid. You are not replacing one 140mm with two 140mm. You are talking about replacing one 140mm and one 120mm with two 140mm. Plus, NoiseBlocker fans are horrible in all of the reviews I have read. There is no decent 140mm fan aside from Noctua. Unless you want to upgrade...

Yep. Also, the problem I had with the filters was the fact there were inside the case, as opposed to outside of the case. Not only are they inside, but they are 1" from the bottom of the case in that gap created by the stands. Thus, the dust and crap will float around in there and it will be a...

    Resolved.

You should go back a few pages and read as to why I replaced the bottom filters. There is nothing wrong with the filters themselves. Rather, the way in which the bottom three filters are applied is very poor. I explained all of this a few pages back. The rear filter for the power supply is...

I did replace the exhaust with a Scythe "E". I don't see what this has to do with the filters. You obviously don't want a filter on the exhaust.

Well I would add two things. 1. Those temps are when the drives were idle; it will be a different story when they are under a load. 2. The main reason for swapping cases was the fact that I need two hot-swap bays in the case which I can access through the 5.25 bays. I was only able to find one...

I dealt with it by not buying a Seasonic X-750? :p Seriously though, it takes some pretty long cables to wrap around. For some of my drives I just opted to not wrap them around because they would not reach. Not to hard to figure out.

    Resolved.

You should only need to order three of the magnetic filters; that should be enough. You don't need any on the exhaust because that will just trap the dust in the case. Also, the PSU already has a great filter. As for hearing noises... I wouldn't worry about that :p because the case is very solid.

Did you mistype? The 120mm setup did worse than the 180mm fans when it came to CPU temp but better when it came to the hard drives.

Initial Observations 1. The FT02 truly is a full-size tower on its side. I noticed this when I put everything into my PC-P50 and found how snug it all was. 2. The FT02 is extremely high quality but the biggest disappointment is the fact they use plastic drive cadges for the 3.5" drives and the...

I could very well do an external enclosure however, why should I have to? I mean, all I want is two hot swap bays... that cannot be asking too much. The FT02 would be great for me... if I did not use any of the bays :p Also, I doubt there is any "heat" pocket created. I would venture to say...

I am ditching my FT02. Let me give you a little background on why because it is a great case... but it is just not for me. If you scroll some pages back you will see that I am running some 2.5 SAS drives and I also have about 5 x 3.5 1TB drives which I need to hotswap probably only once a...

I spent about a week looking at 140mm and 120mm fans and my take on the matter is this: 1. I could not find any specifics on the airflow performance of the 180mm silverstone; but the silverstone 120mm are the lowest of the low when it comes to airflow (I can provide cites if needed). However...

    ChildProof Quality Fan Controller?

The MiniNG looks really incredible. I really like the fact that it can be set and then run without the software. A few questions though: 1. Is the yellow wire on a fan the RPM sensor? It says the MiniNG only works with 3-wire fans having a RPM sensor. 2. Does this controller have a direct...

    ChildProof Quality Fan Controller?

In my case I have 6 fans. Two on my CPU, one exhaust, and three intake. Technically, the only one I need to control is a San Ace on the CPU. Presently it is running at 5v and I want to bump it up more, but 12v is too loud. Also, it draws .38 amps. I figured I can either buy a rheostat for the...
