I'm waiting on my Quest 2 256 + Oculus advanced strap and link cable. I should have it in the next few weeks. I'm coming from a CV1 that I absolutely loved but hated the setup and re-setup all the freaking time. I'm curious to see how it works w/the USB-C port on my 2080Ti.
I'm running the specs in my signature, 9900k + 2080Ti OC. I'm getting 75-95 with all Ultra, RT ultra and DLSS on Ultra Performance. I prefer the higher framerate and I can't really see any blurriness. I'm very happy with this performance!
I'm all about the fastest single-card I can pull off. No more SLI or Crossfire for me, it is WAY too buggy and way too hot! Heck, even nVidia is not doing SLI anymore for the most part.

I agree. This is why I'm very happy with 3440x1440 on a 34'' ultrawide. I had a 29'' ultrawide @ 2560x1080 and it never was enough pixels vertically. I moved to a 27'' QHD @ 2560x1440 155Hz and knew then that 3440x1440 120Hz would be a nice sweet spot that isn't all the way to 4k.
My least favorite was my Radeon HD6990 + HD6970 triple video setup. I still have a picture of this one my phone I can dig up. It produced the fastest 3dmark scores ever but that's pretty much it. It was buggy as hell and "hot" was not a good description, it was way more. I needed a box fan...
Yes, unfortunately. I've been going back between the two (Nvidia/AMD) for ~20 years or so and as much as the AMD drivers have gotten better, they are still not as polished as Nvidia's. I'm not basing my comment on old hardware either. My most recent experience is Vega R9 Nano, Vega 64, GTX...
I just went from an i7 3820 @ 4.3GHz to a stock 9900k and I can tell you its a monster difference in every single way. You do get more longevity w/the 9900k but the 9700k is the smarter choice.
