Please talk me out of this...

There's even X99 in ITX form if you're so inclined.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

    An e5-2699 v3 you say? ;)

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Fair enough. You taking the plunge?

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Anybody using one of these with the new Samsung 950 Pro? Just wanted to make sure there's no compatibility issues before I take the plunge.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

The M.2 to mSATA connector works fine. The BIOS picks it up like a normal M.2 drive. Excellent.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

So yeah, my X99E-ITX arrived yesterday. I'd originally specced and bought myself a nice 5675C/Maximus VII Impact ITX system but had an 11th hour change of heart and decided to go X99. Only problem is that they forgot to ship my DDR4 with it so i'm waiting until later today to get that fitted...

    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

Spent all day trying to get the board to recognise my SM951 NVMe drive in the M2 slot. The only even slight hint I can see is that with it plugged in i'm getting x8 lanes on the PCIe slot, and without it's giving the full x16. Have tried installers for Ubuntu, Windows 7 and 10 but none can...

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

Does the included bracket work with the square block version of the H100i then?

USB devices intermittently don't work when computer starts

It's funny - I have a DH77DF and I get this. I also had It with my DH57JG before that. I chalked it up to some stupid bug that Intel never got around to purging from it's boards/BIOS software. When I had a P8Z77-I for a few weeks the problem went away. Sorry I can't give better news.

    X99 on mITX: ASRock X99E-itx/ac

I'm still thinking it's about £50 too much. Asrock's own equivalent ATX and mATX X99 boards are all sub-£200.

The next NCASE project: a Steam Machine-style case (indeterminate)

I bought an M1 but I would probably pass on this as I think the M1 is a better looking case (and I don't have room for two in my life). But cool work Necere, and good luck with this.

    Silverstone Sugo SG13 Mini-ITX

What's the point of adding NINE millimetres of extra space for a graphics card? That's not even quite half an inch and is going to make no difference whatsoever. It seems to me like an SG05 with ATX PSU support and no ODD slot. Is there really demand for such a thing?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Quick question as I can't test it here. Is there any reason why two separate 120mm all-in-one rads wouldn't fit to the radiator bracket? I'd like to install two - one for CPU and one for GPU but I wondered if there's some tolerance which means they wouldn't fit?

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

So the size of this new PSU is going to make it useless for M1 builds with a long graphics card and also useless for the SG05/06? I have to admit, if it's 30mm deeper I don't see the point - there are already 500W ATX PSUs with similar dimensions? [Edit] SS's own Strider ST60F is 150w x...

    Spec me a motherboard!

I believe most of the 7 series boards will take it, i'm just wondering if there's a "go-to" Z77 board for Ivy Bridge, one that stands out above the pack for reliability, quality, and features.

    Spec me a motherboard!

Hi all. Just wondering what the LGA1155 ITX motherboard of choice is. I'm not looking for a bleeding edge over clock, just something modest but the board itself needs to be stable and reliable. It will be paired with the following: Intel Core i5-3570K 16GB GeiL Black Dragon DDR3...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

/sigh Go home MSI, you're drunk. On a side note, I still haven't figured out how the hard drives attach. Anyone care to help?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I've also been eyeing up one of these, but it's a fair bit more expensive. I think red fans with red coolant would look pretty good though. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-020-TL It's all warrantied like a Corsair or Antec one would be, as well.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Hey all. I have a choice of the following all-in-one 240mm coolers: Enermax ELC240 Corsair Hydro H110 Silverstone Tundra TD02 Antec Kuhler H2O-1250 Antec Kuhler H2O-1220 Corsair Hydro H100 NZXT Kraken X60 I assume the H100 and the H2O-1220 are superseded by the other two newer models but out...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Given how disappointing Asus' DirectCU Mini lineup has been i'm not holding my breath for anything special. Their GTX670 showed up far too late to the party, when everyone was moving onto the GTX 700 series. So they took the GTX760 and gave that the treatment. The GTX760 - you know, that card...

Bit of a long shot and odd request but would you consider windowed side panel(s)? Put me down for a black one if so. :)

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Right, i'm utterly stumped on how to mount the HDD next to the PSU. The screw holes don't seem to like up? The rest of the build is in, rather annoyingly. :p

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Got it in the end. You carefully pull them off, it's gripping little rubber nipples so be careful and it should just come away. You don't slide it at all, it just pulls away from the main chassis.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Mine's just arrived, 0354. This is embarassing - how do I get the side panels off? I can't figure it out and would rather ask than damage it.

So far I've played FIFA 14, Batman AA and AC, and WoW MOP on it without any problems at all. I think it will be just fine as long as I don't go trying to torture it. :D

Oh, and the ST45SF will run an R290. But it won't run Furmark, if I do that it just turns off. Not tried Uniengine Heaven. Also I was going off the figures here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7481/the-amd-radeon-r9-290-review/15

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Thing is, they're taxing a charge which has already had tax paid on it. Then again, the whole process is a blatant money grab. I've just had my letter through asking for £33.39 and I'm really tempted to phone Parcelforce and harass them until they explain how what they've done has warranted...

What will your M1 build contain!?

Planning on keeping a lot of my current parts as there's no need to upgrade. *CPU: i5-3570K *Motherboard: Intel DH77DF *RAM: 16GB Geil Black Dragon DDR3 Video: TBC - Something Radeon R9 flavoured but price dependant. Nothing NVidia. HDD: 2x256GB SSD (RAID-0) - Crucial M500 or Samsung 840...

    Lian Li PC Q33

I would add <15L to that list but apart from that, I agree. I just don't get how companies like Silverstone and Lian Li can almost get it right, but not completely, yet Necere and Wahaha can.
  35. T

    Lian Li PC Q33

I can't disagree more. The only cards that won't run on the ST45SF is the dual GPU ones, a small price to pay for the savings in space. Also widespread adoption of SFX cases will result in a larger selection of SFX PSUs. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the ST45SF in terms of support...

    Lian Li PC Q33

My thoughts: - Would like a slim ODD bay somewhere in there, maybe in the roof of the case? - It's really about time Lian Li gave up supporting ATX PSUs and moved completely to SFX.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I thought that the DirectCu Mini line would mean Asus pushing it with high end cards like (in this case) the GTX770/780, not the already short GTX760. Just seems like they're taking an already short, cool running card and making it... slightly shorter. Whoopee. Put out a sub-9" GTX770 and...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Just one last question. I see orders have re-opened again which is great. But is there still a numerical limit to the number of cases that are available or are you planning on manufacturing all orders upto the deadline? Just wondered as the limit of 600 was banded around on the IGG page, and I...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Meh, I don't get paid until the end of the month and I was going to have one of these if they were still available. I don't suppose there are plans to do another run if the demand requests it? (apologies if this has been asked but I don't have time to trawl 118 pages ;))
