Go ahead and ban me and I will just come back as I have done at leat ten times before. You are powerless against my kind. Mwahahahahaaaa....
You actually thought I was going to let you get away with being a fucking Nazi freak? Fuck you douchebag!
Oh well, that's too bad because the SBK 09 demo I played on my PC had less sloppy control than the SBK 08 I bought for the PS3. I am finding it very difficult to stay on the track, and that is in the easiest mode with all assists on.
Demos provide them with potential customers so they should pay us to got through the hassle to download their freaking 5 - 10GB demos and not the other way around. I rarely download demos because they are usually a waste of my time and effort.
If the money you paid for the demo could be used...
I'm thinking of buying a second sub for this reason, or get the Totem Storm that has 2 drivers and then I will have 3 sub driver sources. But I think the Totem Storm is about $1,000.00 here in Canada and I can get a second Energy sub for about half that price. MY AV receiver only has one sub...
The Philips gamepad I am suing is RF with 30 ft. range. The Harmony is IR but only device it needs to be pointed sort of at is my Denon AV receiver. Anyway. I'm loving the custom configs I can create with the Harmony so am happy with it. Can even create sequence commands. Can't do that with any...
I just read an article a few weeks ago explaining the design decision in downward firing subs and now can not remember what it was. The info is out there but if you go by most forum discussions you will mostly find lots of misinformation...
I was at EB Games and wanted to get SBK 09. The only SBK they had was 'SBK Superbike World Championship'. The guy at EB checked the computer and said there is no SBK 09 in their system so I assumed this one they had was the latest. Wrong. When I got home I looked it up on the internet and the...
I could get that MCE remote but I right now the Philips gamepad is doing all I need so don't really need it. I like the Harmony for my HT setup so it was still a good buy. All I wanted to be able to do is make songs in Winamp skip forward and back, play and pause, and mute sound. I have the...
That is what I will have to do if I am determined to get the Harmony to work with my PC. I will need to buy a Windows remote with IR and have the Harmony emulate that one. What I don't get is why no local stores sell the Xbox 360 remote with USB IR. They sell the remote but no IR receiver. The...
Even HD595 don't have a replaceable cable. I saw someone post one day that they did. Luckily I didn't pull too hard when I checked to see if he was correct or not. He was not correct.HD600 and HD650 have replaceable cables though.
Yea, I have no patience for that kind of thing. I remember back in the early '70s my Dad built our 26" color console TV with one of those Heathkit deals. Took him about 3 months to build and for another $100.00 probably could have just gone to the store and bought one. Obviously I never took on...
Did you read the article I posted? It's not about if one should use metacritic or not. It's about how game publishers are using it to determine if a game developer gets paid royalty on game sales or not. When there is that kind of pressure on for good game scores you know you can't trust the pro...
I found out yesterday why positive reviews are so important to game developers. It seems some publishers have been stipulating in the contracts that a game has to get a metacritic score over a certain percent in order for the game developer to receive royalty fees from the game...
Haha...I told my sister that her son was browsing for porn when he was only 12 to 13 and she didn't believe me. He 'effed the computers so many times that I was royally pissed and she didn't believe me that he was the reason.
I don't have an original remote for it to learn from! That is what the issue is and it can't learn from a wireless keyboard. I have one RF receiver and two IR receivers here and none of them work with the Harmony remote and none of them have their own remote for the Harmony to learn from.
As...
I already have that and my keyboard even has a mouse control stick attached to it but I wanted something a lot smaller than a keyboard to use. The programmable gamepad is doing what I need anyway so the problem is solved.
You can't teach the remote if all you have is the IR receiver and no other remote that goes with it. Learning mode learns from a remote and not IR receiver It can't learn from a wireless keyboard, gamepad or mouse either.
Not all of us are geeks and even own a soldering iron. To have to go buy a soldering iron and all the other stuff and then spend time doing it when it can be fixed with a little electricians tape in less than a minute...well..I know which option I would choose.
"You need to set up the harmony as an MCE remote in the harmony software"
Where's that option? I have been trying both as a computer and as an MCE computer and neither is working at all. The Harmony software even said it can't communicate with the signal on one try. I checked out the Logitech...
OK, I have found out now why my MCE keyboard won't work. The Logitech client software actually told me that it can't recognize the signal from the sensor. I know it doesn't because that sensor has a light that flashes every time it recognizes a keyboard press and the Harmony remote does nothing...
You can buy liquid electrical insulator stuff that dries into something like electrical tape. That would look more professional. I've never used it and can't remember the name of it but saw it for sale at a hardware store one day.
Yes, and already replied. I did already try to program for the MCE keyboard but must be doing something wrong so will look into it further. What I did was set it up as aPC and when it couldn't find my mb it said it would use emulation for an Asus laptop but that did jack all. I didn't see any...
Thanks! But I don't have eBay account and don't really want one either. I will look around and see if I can get one without using eBay. Like I have said though, I do have MCE keyboard with IR sensor so it should work.
Yea, I already posted that info. Nope, don't want to go that route. My wireless keyboard is MCE though so it is supposed to work with Harmony and will investigate that option further. Two other options are buy a Windows remote with IR for $35.00 from NCIX that the Harmony can emulate or buy a TV...
The wireless keyboard and IR receiver I have is MCE compatible but didn't have MCE running when I tried to get the Harmony to learn it so will try again. Thanks.
I'm keeping the Harmony now even if I can't get it to control my PC because after setting it up with my AV receiver, HDTV and PVR...
Here's what I really need and it's only $21.00 USD but where to buy in Canada? I have a friend who will buy my Harmony 510 off me and that is what I will probably do because it ain't doing what I need at all.
http://www.gadget4all.com/prod_detail.php?prod_id=00482
I saw that when I was at Futureshop buying the Harmony 510. I also saw this sweet looking Microsoft wireless keyboard that is really thin and small with a cool curve to it for only $69.99 but it had no dedicated multimedia controls except volume.
I already have a BTC wireless keyboard that...
Hmm, so you guys that suggested the Harmony remote care to tell me how I am supposed to control my PC with it? I bought the 510 and it doesn't work with either of the IR sensors for mouse or keyboard that I already have. Sure, I see it can learn PC controls but that is for computers that it...
Turns out that 510 for $79.99 is the best I can do locally right now and the price is good because NCIX price is $98.00 and Logitechs own price is $99.99 CAD. I can go down the road and be back with one in 20 min. but if I get home and then find it doesn't work with my Logitech Trackball IR...
No, I would rather buy new. Remotes are a hotbed for germs.
6 is plenty for me, I only want it for my PC anyway. BTW, it's 5 devices on the 510 and not 6.
This is Canada for you. I can get Harmony 510 for $79.99 and they are claiming that is $20.00 off. I smell crooks.
