Was too focused on Domini's post and overlooked aznx's. However, I still think a GTX660 is overkill when you can get by with something that costs almost half that.
Any recent generation video card with display port for the 60hz at 4K resolution will be fine.

What was written on your package for value of gift? I had a 3View PCBank shipped by dream-seller via EMS/Canada Post with $100 gift and lucked out without having to pay taxes/duties. Mine was bubble wrapped too instead of being in a bigger box with air cushions so customs could easily see it...
I received my 3View PCBank PB2700 today. It's dead/stuck pixel free! Stand is indeed crappy as well on this since it needs to be fully extended otherwise it'll topple over under its own weight. I thought I would have some more flexibility putting it in various height positions. No big deal...
I placed my order for the 3View PCBank PB2700 on Sunday from dream-seller and haven't received tracking info yet. I'll probably get it tmr or Thursday at the latest in which case it should arrive sometime mid-late next week.
I don't know if anyone else has ordered it, but I'll post pics...
I pulled the trigger and purchased a 3View PCBank PB2700 last night from Dream-seller! It's the cheapest with the best reviewed and has the potential to sit the lowest given its double jointed stand. My desk is kind of high so the height was a bit of a factor. If the stand doesn't live up to my...
I'm hoping someone with the Crossover LED can tell me if the height of the monitor is the same as the LED-P model in it's lowest setting (i.e. top is 45cm tall and bottom is 6.5cm tall). I don't want it too far off my desk since my desk is kinda high.
The Shimian is about 48cm tall and the...
So even the basic stand (LED no P) has height adjustability? Just lacks pivot/rotate?
I know the difference between LED and LED-P were the stand's functions but I wasn't clear which functions that meant. I thought basic stand was a lot dumber...
I know someone with the LED-P model gave...
Shimian's 654x180x479mm (WxDxH). What's the catleap? I did read that the Shimian is almost about an inch lower from the desk to the bottom of the monitor. The height is what concerns me. If I get these I might have to mount it so I can eliminate more of the desk to bottom of monitor...
Select the single column then go to Data --> Text to columns --> Delimited --> Choose commas and voila. After that, you can use formulas to find min/max/average as you please.
I don't notice much of a hit with PhysX on medium with my 6850 oddly enough. It's enough to get pretty sparks without much of a FPS drop (at all if I'm right). I'm running with everything maxed out at 2048x1152. I don't know which AA is being used but I have it set on 8X with the "use...
I played and beat Prototype, RE5, Batman:AA, GTA IV, Starcraft 2, COD:MW2 all on the HD4200 at minimal settings. It'll probably run, but whether or not it's (barely) playable depends on your tolerance. There's no harm trying if you're just waiting for your dedicated video card to arrive unless...
I have yet to see a multi-card review where that is clearly the case. Anandtech's lacks both Gigabyte and Sapphire cards in their multi-card although they were the most readily available yet somehow they had an MSI. The only other one I've seen was from HardwareHeaven...
According to Anandtech 6870 stock volts are 1.172V and 6850 uses 1.148V. Since they are essentially the same die (i.e. 6850 is a binned 6870 AFAIK) would someone knowledgeable say it is safe to run 6850 at 6870 voltage?
I was against overvolting at first but the similarity between 6870 and...

I guess ASUS' cooling isn't so bad, but it still lacks direct comparison to Sapphire and Gigabyte in that roundup although I don't think those would cool better than the louder XFX. If they cool...

I don't remember a mouse fading issue. I only know of this cursor flicker issue in the systray/bottom right even without taskbar area of desktops.
Fan speed and noise is a valid point with respect to cooling but [H]'s review mentioned the DirectCu was at 100% fan speed yet it still hit 95C. So DirectCu at 100% fan speed is quieter than reference at X% fan speed where X% is unknown (or I just haven't found it via quick skimming) but cools...
DirectCu disappoints:

I recall a 5770 DirectCu that was epic fail as well, but I can only locate the 5830 DirectCu:

See hesho's post. PCV (Toronto/GTA) had a sale on the weekend immediately after launch but I wanted to wait to see if ++++ had a sale in the weekly sale that happens on Wed. It just so happened in the weekend afterwards PCV lowered the 6850 in their weekend sale which was simply irresistable...
They're close enough in performance that I just decided based on price. I had trouble finding GTX460 1GB for < 200 in CAD, most were still >$210 after rebates while I found a Sapphire 6850 for 169.95 + tax. First time I had seen anything cheaper in CAD than in US and lower than MSRP so soon...

It has been reported by others as well. Happens even when I use my stock profile so I think it's a driver issue. I haven't taken the time to isolate the real cause since I remember reading someone said it could be related to Afterburner. That's...
I think Jimmy is right. ATI's overdrive suggested 840/1080 (before I ran out of patience since it took > 20mins) for my 6850 and at that speed OCCT still detects errors although it was much fewer in the entire run compared to the first couple minutes at a higher clock rate.
I was able to run...
It must be GPU-z 0.4.7 since it reads my 6850's memory as 270 when Afterburner says its at 1000 at stock profile and 291.1 when its at 1078 in Afterburner on the overclocked profile.
I would like to correct my previous post. My idle is at 38 degrees but Furmark doesn't exceed 74 degrees so the cooling is doing a good job with the fan on auto as my delta is pretty damn good compared to some reviews. My room must just be warmer.
Edited: Temperature after more testing.
I just installed my Sapphire 6850 ($169.95 CAD so I couldn't resist). It seems to idle quite warm at 38 degrees so it's possible I have created a vacuum with my PSU and side panel case fan.
What is a tad weird is how the Sapphire version keeps up with Gigabyte's dual fan cooler. Originally at launch, I had found Gigabyte versions $10 lower than the Sapphire version but I waited too long and it went OOS. :(
I trust cooling to be more consistent among specific model of cards than...
Gigabyte if you plan on going as high as you can on stock voltage. I'm not sure if the Gigabyte version is capable of adjusting voltage, if it isn't then I would say ASUS if you do plan on tinkering with voltage when you OC.
My conclusion is based on cooling from these reviews...
Hmm that review is making the GTX 460 768MB look good against the 6850. For the games, the gap between stock versions is much smaller than most other reviews so once it is overclocked, it is making the 6850 not look as great as I thought it would be...
Yay, I've been waiting for some review comparing multi AIBs so I can compare coolers as well. I plan on going as high as I can on a 6850 with stock volts as well! Too bad that shop I was going to PM against ran out of stock before any reviewers came out with this info :(...
