Hey Fellas
Just purchased a CODE board from WASD MX clears and got to say it's pretty friggen great. First time with a real "premium" keyboard, my previous decks being an older IBM Model M and a Razer Blackwidow. Also my first experience with an 87-key board and while not having a numpad...
gaming and wireless do not go hand in hand my friend. Especially under $50.00. I run a large WoW raiding guild and I can't tell you how many times someones mouse/keyboard has died on a raider mid fight and ruined an attempt and/or created a bit of downtime.
keyboards will all generally...
If you plan on gaming, you don't want a 13" MBP. They stopped throwing dedicated video cards in those things when they switched over to the sandybridge line. You won't be able to run much. That said you want a web machine, moderate photo editing and VMWare, a 13" with 8gb of ram will be...
You'd be looking at a similarly priced rMBP 13'', with similar specs. The advantage of the mac being you can always run windows via bootcamp....yet you can't run OSX on the sony. I personally would of bought the mac, but then again I'll never buy another PC laptop.
Would it be wrong to say I'm a little bit excited for the new batman? I loved the Nolanverse stuff, but Bale just seemed to play Bruce a little....too clean...I guess that'd be the word for it. I can see Snyder and Affleck being a little bit darker.
Anecdotal observations.
I've been running the same 2011 15" Macbook Pro since I bought it in early 2011. Virtually zero problems. I upgraded the ram myself and threw in an SSD. still boots in under 10 seconds. Purchased applecare for the machine, luckily haven't had to use it other than to...
Go buy one of the new brand new windows 8 ultrabooks. Guarantee you'll come begging back to apple in a week. Majority of the non-apple hardware coming out these days is rubbish. Apple doesn't need to innovate a new "big" thing every few years, as their stuff is still flying off the shelves...
Using an 8350 / Asrock Extreme 4 990fx / 7970 combo to stream our WoW raids. Works pretty well.
In all honesty, for games like WoW and SC2 your upload speed matters more than the hardware to achieve 1080p and 720p streams.
Take a look at the Rosewill brand mechanicals on Newegg. I have one with the brown switches and love it. Feels like much more of a quality product vs the Razer keyboards I used to use.
Yep. You're basically experience the cheap mouse problem. The connectivity degrades over time and when it starts performing as you are describing, it's time for the bin. Not really worth the headache on a 15dollar mouse.
CM212 Hyper +. Make sure you put thermal paste on in a pea size amount and allow the heatsink to spread it across the CPU. Also check your case fans for pet hair/dust.
Lets take borderlands 2 for example. Exact same settings as my 3750k, same vid card/ram/drives. The game is a bit more choppy. I really should run something with a FPS reading so I can accurately gage.
I did however convert some movies this morning for the iPhone and it breezed through...
Could be. I have a 212 in a push/pull config. The ambient temp in the case is considerably less than the other case I was using. I upgraded to a fractual R4 windowed a little while ago. Nice case btw.
If I recall, I was right at 1.45v hitting 4.6. I dialed it down to 1.42ish to get 4.4...
Gaming. My FPS is lower in games like WoW, SC2 and Black Ops. In Borderlands, it is even more noticeable. Under the same settings and components there is a definite stutter in the game. I have to drop the graphics rating down. In Civ 5 I did notice that the games load more slowly. I'll...
