All,
Short n' sweet: I bought two Target open style bookshelves and the directions are useless - it actually contradict's by showing separate diagrams of the pins being placed facing horizontal vs. inner lateral. So, my question is - which offers the BEST support for weight distribution...
Hello HF Community,
I've successfully have OC my Asus Z87 board + Intel Core i5 4670K to 4.6 MHz (typically I leave it at 4.2). However, a burning question remains: why is it, no matter what OC setting I use (3.8-4.6 MHz), my CORE SPEED always reads off by 1.x and memory too.
Example...

So......the Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell 3.4GHz + MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX COMBO I was originally invested in ended up getting returned to tigerdirect.com. Why? Faulty PCI Express slots (1st one at 16x was ok, but the 2nd and 3rd slots both had issues, which made SLI impossible)...
Just a follow-up post....
thank you everyone for the advice and feedback! I'm enjoying my setup, and feel much better about the settings I've modified! Much appreciated!!
Thank you for helping me make some sense out of all this SOUND stuff! I also found the following (after researching wasapi a little), which helps to shed a little more light on this matter:
So...w/ some of the basics answered and cleared up, that just leaves a rare one left:

Greetings All,
I'm very confused...I've researched the internet to the point of major confusion, and I need some expert advice on this stuff! Ok, here's the break-down (heeellllpppp! lol):
1. I have a 64-bit Windows 7 system w/ a newly upgraded Z87 Asus Pro motherboard
2. I have a AVR-1912...
@Phishy714 & @Erasmus354...
I (obviously) had no idea about that ... regarding memory topping off at 32gb vs 64gb. I'll have to research more into that. If that's the case (& u sound pretty convincing ;P ) well then that sucks, but that's still no deal breaker for me. I still get access to...
Note: very tired when writing this ...but wanted to post an update....might revise later....
Damn....not a bad combo deal at all RODY! I almost took it, but AFTER extensive (days worth) of researching, reviewing, and comparing MBs I have finally picked my solution:
Intel Core i5-4670K Haswell...

Greetings All...
It's time for my MB/CPU upgrade (to compliment everything else I've recently purchased)....I'm going w/ a Intel Core i5-4670k 3.4Hz LGA 1150 processor. I'll be using this board primarily for gaming, while it's secondary...
!! UPDATE - 6-13-2013: Thanks to a fellow HardForum member (left him/her anon since I'm not sure they want singled out) for sending me a PM about my prices being a "tad" too high! I researched the prices a bit more around the net, and have slashed my prices to be more competitive AND fair! I...
Apparently ....my drivers/config would fall under the "600 series." Sigh...why was that so complicated to find?!!?
(If that's incorrect, please advise!)
Hey Guys (Gals),
I'm losing my wits over this ....
I have a Gigabyte EX58-UD4P (socket 1366) motherboard. Chipset is x58 . Southbridge is 82801JR (ICH10R) ....

Hello All,
I need some help here! I've got a good understanding of networking, but this problem seems to elude a resolution. I have my personally built custom PC (gaming, photography, etc) in a room w/ my GFs Macbook Pro laptop. We're both connected to a Linksys WRT160Nv2 router via wi-fi...
Hey Guys (Gals),
It seems like every time I start researching computer audio, my brain starts to hurt, I get frustrated with conflicting info, and after about 1-2hrs I'm no longer looking at my computer with...happy eyes. Sledgehammer perhaps....
Seriously though, I really would like to...
I recently bought 2x EVGA GTX 670s, and they came with some game redeem codes that I don't need. Who wants'em? (You NEED a Steam.com account to activate the code!)

...after days of research, weighing opinions here, and more research, I've decided to pull the trigger on the Dell 3011...
I was wondering about that ....running the Dell 3011 at 1920 x 1980 resolution, but I thought I read somewhere that not running a a monitor's native resolution can hamper performance. Yes/no? Or is that when ur up-scaling ?
Adobe-RGB is not required in my world. I stick to sRGB. I do want consistent work flow though between my Nikon D-90, Monitor, Scanner (scanning in photos), and printing photos.
If the Viewsonic can accomplish this, and give me great gaming support, well then....I think I might be sold...
Any supporting reasons why you feel the Dell would be a waste of cash? Don't get me wrong, I'd PREFER not to SPEND so much, but at this point, I also don't want to drop "x" amount of $$$ now on a monitor only to realize down the road I should have spent the extra $$$.
Hmm...and then I found this article (LOL) ...
http://www./forum/hardware-canucks-reviews/53901-nvidia-geforce-gtx-690-review-25.html
Basically, in a nut shell it states I could buy a GTX 600 series and SEE the cards performance, regardless of the PCI 2.0 interface vs. PCI 3.0! Well then...
Wow! My sincere THANKS for the opinions/recommendations/info guys! Much appreciated! :D
I've been reading and researching more, and I'm starting to lean more and more on just getting a dedicated monitor. I do use a Nikon D90 for doing my amateur photography, in addition to PC gaming at 1920 x...
Thank you for the feedback Nielo.
I've also found some additional info during my research, which is helping steer me in the right direction. Here it is for those in the same boat as me:

Afternoon All!
I've practically driven myself crazy over the last few days trying to figure out what my best solution is for my setup. I originally wanted a LED TV that I would use for my computer/HD-Cable, and I have been doing that the last couple years on a Phillips 47' ...but, newer...
Starslayer67 & spaceman:
Aye, basically what you two said about the sound "breaking in" thing is straight-on, and what I meant to imply. I had forgotten about reading that elsewhere, but like you guys already pointed out, the article talked about how our ears/brain need time to readjust/be...
Well guys........I've placed my order.....and I hope I had some good advice here cause I followed your drooling......frothing at the mouth .....shivers of delight replies and went w/ the :
