Gefen vs iogear KVM (Dual Link DVI)

Get this from MonoPrice. I use it to switch between 360 and PS3 and it works great. There are other options there if you want a remote control or something, but for basic operation it's a great choice. You'll need two DVI->HDMI cables to go with it (assuming your video card only has DVI), but...

    2 systems, 1 display...DVI switcher, any lag?

It still displays an image, but there's all kinds of bars and lines all over the place. I hooked up my laptop for testing via VGA, and the screen refreshed really...

    19x12 for xbox 360?

Just make sure you find a monitor that supports 1:1 pixel mapping or aspect ratio scaling. Those should leave the picture untouched. You'll have 60 pixel tall black borders at the top and bottom of your screen with 1900x1200. Poke around the threads about 24" monitors here to get an idea of...

Curious about HDMI to DVI adapters

HDMI uses DVI video signaling. HDMI and DVI are literally the exact same in terms of video quality because they are the exact same signal, an adapter is a purely mechanical one there are no electronic parts that change the signal across the wire in any way. Also, you don't really need to...
