ok so I have vista but I can't find a 64 bit version of my rampage formula drivers... anyone understand that ASUS website? I have the install disk but it doesn't make it clear if it has 64 bit drivers installed on it. I put the disk in and it just has like an install drivers wizard. it doesn't...
ok so I've never had to reformat but this is what I'm trying to do. right now I have a Vista HD and a XP HD in the same computer. I am reformatting the vista drive so I can start over with 64 bit. I don't need anything on my xp drive. can I reformat my xp drive, move my important stuff to it...
one last thing. under CrossfireX in catalyst it won't let me do anything under the diagnostics tab... am I missing a drop down menu? the help for the page says

are those typical for a system in crossfire... I guess that is an improvement
ok I just enabled all the video card from device manager and just clicked on all those things. restarted and it was EXTREMELY dark. then after like 30 seconds it started catalyst WITH CROSSFIRE and everything is running smoothly...

ok I tried uninstalling the microsoft visual C++s and ATI, rebooting into safe mode, clean out the ATI, reboot into normal, reinstall drivers, reboot and still I'm getting failed drivers message
ok so I tinkered around and flipped the bridge and now I get a signal again (posting from the troubled computer). problem is I get the error again.

problem is I can't install catalyst.both cards work because I rebooted with only one in there (the one I don't use as primary display) so both run but now I can't install catalyst.

I went to asus.com went to support then download then Rampage Formula under LGA 775, downloaded 0701. extraced the ROM and put it on the flash, booted up and hit the alt F2, flashed it, said restarting in 5 second, and when it restarted I didn't get any video....

damn it. it could still be both devices though don't you think? I didn't test each card individually yet though because I was out of town but technically it could still be the main display card I'm using now right?
I tried using the other, unopened crossfire bridge and it still doesn't show the crossfire option. it isn't 8.12 because I was using 8.08 and it didn't recognize it so I tried 8.12 and still nothing.
