Actually I'm not part of the color patrol. I'm part of the 'bullshit repellent' patrol. I responded to the topic due to the Superhuman bullshit topic. Diablo 3 may or may not be okay, and this early in development I really don't want to debate it, but Diablo 2 WAS dark.

That was EXACTLY what superhuman was doing, putting a few pics (out of context btw) online to make a fake support of his argument while ignoring the entire game itself.

And why is that exactly? The pictures I showed all depict normal scenes with a realistic tone, the only thing off base are the skeletons, mainly due to sprite limitations. If you want to talk about colorful graphics, and then talk about spell casting and such, I hope people like you realize...

Let's look at this whole update in general... You have a weapon drop system, that is for trading, and for randomized item drops. But none of the last two are there, instead, you have a half assed alpha demo. You had the ambassador, a weapon supposed to headshot, yet somehow Valve 'forgot'...

You do know sd is 480i right? You play in that lovely field halfway between hd and sd (also known as enhanced definition), yet it's counted as hd... BTW, enhanced definition on a crt or plasma look amazing, I don't think you have any reason to call yourself an 'sd gamer'. I mean an old crt...

Whats worse of all is that noobs who are just playing or haven't played long get all the weapons fast. All this update is is to please noobs and say 'Fuck you and your weapon gaining! You will suffer!' to all long time fans of Valve.

Very good. If you restrict the items you get to what you don't have, there's no need for a retarded trading system, and people wouldn't be pissed off at getting dozens of duplicates

The point is to make a sniper more agile, and move closer to the front line of battle. With a bow and arrow, you aim, shoot, while moving. You can dart in and out of corners easily. Arrows are harder to hit targets, but you yourself are also harder to hit. And most characters who surprise...

The problem is it's still random. Those of us have most of the weapons, so even if we got them every hour, it would still be tons and tons of duplicates. Stupid ass trade system needs to go.

Highest level tf2 has gotten before is around 30,00-40,000. It seems people love the update, when you count the weapons and maps, and not the shitty unlock system...

I've so far gotten the huntsman and the crappy shield. The huntsman is great once you get used to it, but the shield sucks ass.

I hope they add the old system into the new. That way casual gamers can get random weapons, while hardcore ones can get them thru achivements.

Why would you say that? If you look at the wall textures, their pretty low res. It's the characters that look really good (and the lighting+effects), and it looks like they took shots that capatilized. But yeah, look at the main scene instead of the effects and characters, and it's not so...
