Apparently the Asus Dark Knight is the one to beat so I'll be going with that.

Support for DD-WRT and tomato too.
Hopefully this is the right place to put this.
I'm looking to replace my old router (Apply Airport Extreme) with something that can handle more connections. I am a heavy user with torrents and would like a powerful router that can use some good firmware like Tomato, DD-WRT, or something...
EDIT: EVERYTHING IS SOLD!!!
Hi,
I'm moving internationally and would like to get rid of a few extra parts:
I'm open to offers or any local pickups (I'm in San Francisco).
SOLD:
P5Q Deluxe - Only the mobo with an anti-static sheeting. No cords or screws. SOLD.

It is more than mere convenience of having it look like one drive. I'd have to share two drives instead of one (for streaming from another computer). I'd have to setup some tv shows to download to drive e, and other to drive d - if drive d ever became full I'd have to then go back and change a...
It doesn't quite achieve the same effect as I'll have to manually control the size on both drives, but is indeed a solution.
$20 isn't a huge deal to me though.
Windows 8 apparently has the pooling feature built in.
So SnapRAID does not provide drive pooling. FlexRAID seemed like a little more than I wanted.
I ended up going with Drive Bender and it seems to do what I need it to do. It's 50% off over the next few days and I'll most likely buy it.
If anyone does drive pooling I suggest that you don't...
The computer is already built. Sorry I should have specified Win7.
I also already have one drive entirely full so starting from scratch isn't really an option.
Hi, I've just recently setup my HTPC/NAS and currently have 2 drives. I'm trying to figure out how best to setup the system.
In the future I plan to add more drives as well.
Should I setup drive 1 to hold movies and drive 2 to hold tv shows?
I'd love to have them both be treated as one...
So no issues with HDMI through the motherboard? The i3-2125 will power 1080p easily - audio and video?
Any case suggestions? It took me many hours of research to decide on that one, but if people have suggestions please share. I'd like a smaller case, but with a good amount of storage which is...
$.22/KWh in San Francisco. The difference between 25W and 50W is $48.18/year. It's modular as well. Plus I'd like to reduce my usage.
Audio drivers are what is winning out here, not price. Plus audio connectors in case I ever get a sound system on it. The reviews are good as well. It doesn't...
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
HTPC. It needs to run xbmc with 1080p over HDMI to a tv. It also needs to share files and run torrents 24/7 so low power is key. I have about 2.5TB of space being used, but want some room to grow.
2) What's your...
Hi, I'd like to build a HTPC that has low power <30W.
The purpose of the device would be to run 24/7 in order to display XBMC 1080p on a tv, act as a place to share videos/pictures, run as a torrent machine, etc.
I'd like it to have 4+ 3.5" drives in the case. At least 1 2.5".
I currently have...
Ya, I was just reviewing that decision as you posted and I will go with the i5. Thanks!
Do you have benchmarks that show this? http://benchmark reviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=773&Itemid=67&limit=1&limitstart=4 shows otherwise. (site will not let me link it so copy+paste...
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Gaming, Browsing, HTPC, rare photoshop, Web development. I currently play Tera, but enjoy other big games like Assassin's Creed.
I'm looking for a solid build that will last me many years (besides upgrading the graphics...
Thanks. Makes it more compelling to wait for 256 to reach a reasonable price.
This. Plus m4 is older and if you look at modern reviews it is outdone by Samsung 830, Plextor, Corsair Performance Pro, and others. Those are the 3 that I'm considering really.
Yes, I'm trying to decide between 256...
The plextor drive is better than the m4, but that isn't the debate here.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels#RAID_0_failure_rate
There are some potential performance gains, but as an OS drive reliability is more important. So 1 drive is definitely better than raid 0.
What about...
I'd really love to pick up the plextor deal on slick deals, but it is only for the 128gb version. I'd like to have 256gb.
What are the advantages of having 1 bigger drive vs 2 smaller drives? I have plenty of SATA slots.
Is it possible to software RAID them to act as one drive?
Should I...
This. When looking straight on it's maybe 1mm or even less. Look at it from an angle(ie: the center of the screen) I see maybe 2mm, but never even noticed until you mentioned it. It looks like the edge of the screen unless I really look closely.
That's like asking why people buy a 60" 1080p when they could buy a 35" 1080p with much better ppi.
Although this is different - the amount of information on my 2650x1600 screen is much more than my 1600x1200 screen.
TL;DR: It's not all about ppi.
