I'm considering getting a Blackberry Curve 8520 and I have a quick question for some one who has experience with one. I won't be getting a data plan and I've already found that there's an option to disable data on the phone but if I do this will all data features still work fine via wi-fi or is...
Something with 16mb vram
Geforce MX 2 64mb
Radeon 9800SE softmodded to Pro
Geforce 6610XL overclocked to GT
Geforce 7900GS
Geforce GTX 260
I think there's a good chance that my next card will be a Radeon 5870 but I'll be waiting to see benchmarks of both ATI and nVidia's DX11 cards first.
Hmm, so it's not just mine then. I'm still undecided whether to go for a replacement or refund. Apart from the humming this monitor is perfect, it'd be a shame to have to go back to trying to find a decent monitor. I know I said I'd probably forget about it over time but it seems to be getting...
I just got my BenQ FP241W yesterday and image quality wise it's perfect for me in every way. The only minor problem I've found is a faint humming noise coming from the monitor when set below 75% brightness, is this normal for this LCD? does anyone else's FP241W do this or is it completely silent...
Thanks for the info philjohn. I've just been testing my brothers 17" LCD and the 32" LCD TV downstairs at various brightness levels by looking through the camera again. It didn't pick up any flicker whatsoever on either of them so I think it must be that the inverter is faulty.
In that case I...
So I finally decided on a monitor, the Hyundai W240D-PVA, since it was only £30 more than the cheapest height adjustable 24" TN. However I'm having a bit of a problem with it, at any brightness other than 100% it flickers, is this normal for LCD backlights? I'm worried about the effect this...
I'm looking for a decent monitor for gaming, films, general web browsing and programming. I've been looking for months now and I still haven't found one that has everything I want at a decent price but I've just came across the FP241W for £340 which is a really good deal considering it usually...
Could some one please measure how high the top of this monitor is when adjusted to full stand height?
Also, has anyone been able to compare this to a BenQ G/V2400W(D)? Is it noticeably better and is it worth the extra cost?
Thanks
As I was saying though, the only other cooler I could get is the IceQ as it's the only one that won't be blocked by the sound card below, however there's not going to be much of a gap between the fan and the bottom of the case if I go down that route so I don't know if it'll get enough air...
Hello,
My brother will be upgrading to a 4850 this year for Christmas but I'm not 100% sure if it'll stay cool enough in his case.
Here is a photo of the inside of his case. It has one 92mm exhaust fan and there's a 1 PCI slot gap between the red graphics card and black sound card...
Brilliant review 10e, thanks.
The G2400WD isn't available in the UK yet but it seems to have the same specs as the V2400W but in the G2400W case. Do you know if the G2400WD uses the same panel as the V2400W?
Thanks for your help :)
I've emailed BenQ to clarify whether or not the V2400W has an audio in and I've also emailed creative to ask about connecting the PS3's optical to my X-Fi. So my final descision of G2400W vs V2400W will likely depend on what response I get from them.
I'll repost my...
Thanks for the reply 10e. My speakers are quite expensive so I don't want to replace them, I can't find that setting in the nVidia control panel but I think it may be detecting my old 17" TFT as a CRT since there's some CRT options there. Also, you missed a question, probably because i asked too...
Brilliant review, thanks alot :)
These two monitors were both on my shortlist for possible purchases however the samsung is now completely out of the question due to the lack of proper 1:1 pixel mapping. I have a few questions:
I am likely to buy a PS3 eventually so my choice of monitor...
