@ nray not really gts can be fitted on any spot theres enough room for it, with a gtx yea true u need a pciex16 closest to the cpu in order to do that.. (running a P5E-VM HDMI with a Gainward 1gb 8800GT Golden Sample(gts size)) and i even have 2x60mm 1x90mm 2x80mm and 1x70mm so u can fit alot...

why dont u take a thermaltake lanbox lite ?? it cost aroudn 80 euro here but probably be also around 80 dollar there... i have it it can even use the 8800 ultra (u need to make a little adjustment) 8800 gts wil fit perfectly but no ESATA on it :S

?? marignally slower ? u mean compared to gts ? not to gt... and also depends on games, some games for example gears of wars (unreal 3 engine) thrive on the extra mem but there are games like oblivion where the gts easily wins..

1gb 8800gt can be of certainly of use u wouldnt notice a direct diffrence but the extra 512 mb certainly helps when playing games on high resolution with high quality settings im using a gainward 8800gt 1gb gs.. i cant tell u from myself the direct diffrence caus i never used a 8800gt 512mb...

wow indeed good post surly73.. im still not 100% sure to get the 8800gt 1gb or the gts 1gb and besides the " extra 512 is bogus or not" it still has a great cooling system that is cool and pretty silent compared to many others..

it certainly gets a boost but only in high resolutions (1920x1080+ i believe) and games that uses the unreal 3 engine seems to like the extra mem alot.. but im getting the 8800GT 1gb version caus i find it more bang for buck in my opinion.
