I've had issues with my Ralink chipset based Edimax 7128 802.11g PCI adapter that I bought because of reported compatibility with Vista 64. Now I think my problems stemmed from a quality issue rather than a compatibility issue, but either way i am getting an RMA on the part.
What I'm looking...
I've figured the issue out. It was indeed my no name Edimax Wireless card. I borrowed my coworker's D-Link USB 802.11g dongle and logged on to WoW no problem. I supposed I probably shoudl have done that from the get go. Thanks for all your input.
I'll try a different rail when I get home today. I might also try reseating the RAM. But yes, the video card power is plugged in. Like I said, I was able to enter the game on a brand new character, and I've had no problems playing DiRT and Half-Life 2 and Portal.
Update: Definitely didn't work...
Neither of those worked for me.
One thing I do notice, though, is that right before it locks up I hear a little "click" sound from my case. I'm not sure where it's coming from, but it almost sounds like hard drive activity? That's the only way I can really explain it.
I'm in touch with...
It's not that I'm stuck somewhere. I am able to log onto my toon from my laptop. I did open a ticket. The GM gave me the same old "delete your cache/interface/wtf folders, run the repair diagnostic, etc." I did that and now the toon I created on the new machine crashes the game.
I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this, but I've just completed building a new computer and I'm seeing some issues with TF2 and WoW.
First, WoW. Fresh install, updated hardware drivers, etc. I am able to create and play a new character. However, when I try to play my main and other...
I started this thread to ask for opinions, which I did receive (Thanks to all who replied). Now I have done my own research, and it seems you have not. The T-amp is considered by many to be one of the best price to performance amps. While it may be cheaply designed, and may look like something...
PolygonGTC: Do a Google search for T-Amp review and you will be very surprised. I haven't actually heard them that's why I'm wondering. As for the speakers I have no clue.
As tempting as a T-amp + bookshelf speakers is, I'd rather try to find something as an integrated system, like a 2.1 computer setup or 2.0 active monitors. I'm very close to trying the M-Audio Studiophile AV30.
Plus, the original T-amp is discontinued, and I haven't really found any reviews...
I'm looking for some recommendations for the best bang for buck 2.1 speaker system for less than $100.
I realize that it's possible to find the Logitech Z-2300 for less than $100, but purely in terms of price to performance ratio, what's the lowest I can really go without sacrificing too much...
I have read this as well...but it does state viewing angles of +/- 80 degrees...which is a 160/160 viewing angle associated with most TN panels anyway. So I'm still thinking it may not be a TN (178/178 being the norm for VA panels).
On another note, I have just seen an issue with this monitor...
oh well...regardless of what type of panel it is, i'm happy :).
i just hope i'll be able to test the DVI output before my 14 day return period is up...running off a laptop VGA now while i'm trying to part together a new pc
any banding i see with this monitor using the previously posted image is very slight. not enough to make it an issue for me.
i read on another forum that this could be a 6-bit TN+WV panel. i've never heard of this before...has anybody else?
on another note, it could be my bad eyes but it...
just got one after seeing this thread at BBuy for 345+ tax for an open box...last one they had...for some reason it wasn't the below $300 price you guys saw.
i was scared it would be a TN panel, but the display unit had excellent viewing angles.
the one i got, thankfully, has the good...
