the GX is just a tad bit slower than the FX using a discrete Card, it's almost not enough to worry about if you find a GX board you really like.

Either the Gigabyte or the Biostar are a good choice, I've used both, and still use the Biostar with a 5000 BE o/c to 3.2ghz with a 16x multi and stock volts :D Another choice would be an nvidia 7050 based board.

CPU-Z WILL display your core voltage, Everest will display just about any voltage or temp you'll need for O/Cing, Core temp is great, if your not using Vista x64, then it has some issues.

Check over on SFFTech.com, we've run into that problem a few times and usually it's your PSU. You can contact Shuttle directly to have it replaced.
