    P35 DS3R and crucial 6400

    I have both... ;) It will boot fine with both sticks at stock 1.8v - no problem. Just do the Ctrl+F1 trick to get into the memory timings of the tweaker page and change the settings to 4-4-4-12 and about +0.2v for starters. I'm running mine at 400MHz (PC 800 1:1) at 2.1v

    E6850 on GA-P35C-DS3R 4GB

    Just got this board myself, and had heard about "Ctrl-F1" to get to the memory timings. It took me a few minutes to figure out that you *still* have to scroll down and select the intelligent tweaker - i.e., you don't see anything happen when you hit Ctrl-F1 :eek:

    Possible to change processors?? Doesn't AS5 glue down the CPU??

    AS5 is not glue. You can easily lift a heat sink from a CPU years after applying Arctic Silver. It cleans up easily with a few Q-Tips dipped in 99% isopropyl alcohol. Oh, and the AS5 is to provide a means of heat transfer between the CPU and the heatsink on top of it ... it is *not* to be...

    Boot to DOS with USB Flash Drive - How?

    Thanks so much, guys!! I *finally* got it to work! :D I had run the HP utility at least 10 times, trying all sorts of DOS files, every kind of USB device in the BIOS I could find... :mad: What I must have missed is that the formatted USB stick had to be inserted in the box while...

    Boot to DOS with USB Flash Drive - How?

    I've tried all of those methods. The BIOS sees the USB stick, it just won't boot from it.. I've formatted it and copied boot files with several different methods. I've set the BIOS to boot from every USB device listed (HDD, ZIP, floppy, etc...) It just won't boot to DOS. :mad: HELP...

    Antec 900 - How to use included 3.5" -> 5.25" bay adapter?

    Mount the face plate on the front of the tray (without screws) to give you an idea of how far out of the tray the drive sits - it's quite a bit of overhang. You should then find some screw holes on the tray that line up with the drive. Screw the drive to the tray, screw the face plate to the...

    Boot to DOS with USB Flash Drive - How?

    Does the Gigabyte P35-DS3R support booting up with a USB flash drive? This is a brand new build, and I'm *hoping* it will be my first without a floppy drive. But, dang - I really need to be able to boot with a memory stick for the occasional BIOS flash, etc. Yeah, I know I can do it in...

    Newegg is beginning to tick me off

    newegg now at $335 for the E6850 - $64 more than what I paid at MWave on Saturday night! While my first reaction is 'screw newegg' - it is a classic and instructive example of how the free marketplace works. It's also a good lesson for those whom I hear saying 'I always buy at the Egg' - and...
