Comeon, it's just a couple Darkon/Dagorhir people practicing. Nothing unusual here. They get more exercize than your average gamer/geek does certainly.
And in about 2 days after this goes live I bet you will be able to extract those videos in raw non-DRM MPG format after running them through a few "filters".
I think like everyone else I'll have to disagree. Tribes 2 did have it's issues (mostly with incompatible hardware setups), but it was lightyears better than the UT Clone that Tribes Vengance was.
I still run a Tribes 2 server and still play semi-regularly. I've never had any issues with...
Here is my setup.
Amplifier: I bought a Sonic Impact Digital T-Amp ( http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-952 ) And it is been "modded" into my computer and is powered off the powersupply (after being filtered using a 10Kuf Capacitor).
Speakers: I built these...
Look good for running lans for low-bandwidth operations.
Not much use for me since I store most media on a server in my basement and throw around large files a lot. 100Mbps switched is getting a bit slow these days and I'll probably upgrade to gigabit in the near future.
But yeah if I...
Personally like the interface and logging features of the Asus PCProbe utility.
Now if they could make something with the following:
1) Wide range of hardware support like MBM.
2) Ease of reporting like PCProbe.
3) Ability to monitor GPU temperatures.
4) Ability to output those to LCD...
I got given a AMD Mobile Athlon XP (Barton Core) 2500+.
I have a spare A7N8X-Deluxe that I got back from an RMA.
The Chip works fine in the mobo but doesn't get recognized as a Mobile Athlon XP and tries to revert back to 100Mhz FSB and such.
What would be the best BIOS to flash this...
I work as the IT person at a small software development company. I was asked to build a large fileserver on the cheap with backup as you describe.
These specs may be a bit out of date but the principle should still apply:
Mobo: Tyan Dual Slot-1 P3 Mobo with onboard SCSI & 6 SDRAM slots...
I'm running it on an ATI 9800XT-256 & AMD Barton 3200+ w/ 1GB pc3200 and it runs great @ 1024x768 with everything set to High. Haven't turned on any anti-aliasing though.
Heh. I have a similar setup though not quite as grand.
HTPC: AMD Barton 2500+, 512MB PC3200, Shuttle MN31N nForce2 motherboard, 30GB system drive, 120GB onsystem storage drive, 4x/2.4x/16x DVD-RW. All compressed into a mATX case...custom modded with very quiet 120mm fans (CPU cooler uses low...
Personally I would skip the chalk board pain and buy some of the high gloss 1/4" white board material they also sell and use that and some dry erase markers.
Our HomeDespot has the 4'x8' sheets of the stuff for $11.55 We bought 4 sheets of the stuff for work and now the developers have 4'x16'...

ATI Radeon 9800Pro 256 Bios flashed to 9800XT and Modded for better cooling (Thermaltake Volcano 10+ on the GPU, big ramsinks and smaller ones on the power mosfets).
I am stable at 450/450 with no artifacts in doom3 (1024x768x32, High detail, 8xAF, NoAA)
The 9800Pro doesn't have any onboard thermal monitoring (unless you have one of the 9800Pro's that are actually XT's....and then you can only monitor if you flash to XT bios.)
Best bet is to use a Digidoc or Compu-Nurse or similar thermal probe.....stick it to the PCB on the back right behind...
Or go the DIY route and make one out of a SocketA CPU cooler. (I used a Thermaltake Slim Volcano 10+ )
Took me all of 2 hours last night.
Items needed:
1 SocketA/370 cooler (I used Thermaltake Volcano 10+)
3 4-40 machine screws
2 4-40 nuts
Dremel or small hacksaw
Epoxy (I used 5...
Interested in "1 x Digital Doc 5 Modified blue LEDs" Can you PM me with price including shipping to zip 24060 (I prefer UPS ground or other trackable method).

The Heatsink I used weighs between 10-14 oz. (Volcano 10+) and is easily supported by the card & slot. Heck the heatsink I used weighs less than the Zalman or Articooler Coolers and performs better.
Most waterblocks people use are heavier as well not to mention the stress from the water...
Him or me? I put the thinner less compressable fiberglass ones (thin and red in color) though I sometimes use rubber feet instead of springs. (I almost always use springs these days as they are more reliable).
Here's how.....you just need a R360 core.

Then make sure you upgrade the cooling (which is a good idea anyway since the 9800Pro stock cooling SUCKS).

Your video card GPU or RAM is seriously overheating. The stock cooler on the 9800 Pro is a joke. It was barely keeping my card cool enough (below 55'C) when only running 2D desktop. When running in BF1942 it was getting hot enough to scortch (62-65'C).
I replaced my GPU cooler with a SocketA...

anyone better solutions?
My new 9800XT just came in and I remember there being a good set of steps to take and some utils to help with converting over from nVidia to ATI and vice versa.
Can someone point me at the correct set of steps to take and what utils to use?
(They went something like: uninstall current...
Becuase we are a small college town and the closest city doesn't have many computer literate people (Roanoke). And all the college students are gone for the summer.
